Or he drops EVERYONE and solos and puts 2 minutes plus on the Schleck Brothers. Or he drops Frank and Koden and Lance passes them on the downhill. Or Lance could have been more attentive on the slopes of the Col de Romme and Frank never bridges up to Andy where he is isolated with Contador and Kloden, who proceed to attack and drop him putting major time into Wiggins and Andy Schleck.

I mean either you have a limited imagination or you just want to make up a couple of scenarios that cast Contador in the worst light possible.

Ummm.... I'm talking about the only 2 explanations for the way things actually happened.. not just 2 out of the whole universe.

Wow, almost 2000 posts! I guess having new wallpaper to go with your mega post count is important when you're never outside riding a bike...

+1

Don't mind him... his only friend is his right hand;)!

No, I am saying that the sweetest bikes in the US are not Treks or Specialized or any of the other major brands, and that bikes made by people like Vanilla and Serotta and others have never been ridden in the Tour unless they were badged as something else. Same goes with bikes like Pegoretti (Italian) etc.

Ah, got it.

RadioShack has got to be creaming in their jeans over this stuff. LA is going to make them alot of money.

Do people other than me buy resistors, capacitors and transistors? I never knew there were so many other geeks!

What a mess 17 is. Imagine if instead of going downhill against Andy it would have been someone who could decend like Cancellera or Landis.

At the end 1 of 2 things is true and neither one of them speaks good for Alberto.

1. He dropped his teammate, made some stupid deal with the Schlecks, then gave the stage win away to a rival team and faked a lunge at the end to sell it.. or

2. He dropped his teammate, was isolated by the Schlecks and was so gassed at the end that he couldn't win the stage.

My bad. Just re-read it.

My response: (1) he didn't do any work on the stage, so it would have been wrong for him to take the win (which would have looked bad) and (2) he was on the road with them, so I think he thought they were weak enough that he didn't work about a counter-attack--which is precisely what happened. So I don't see either making him look bad.

But again, my apologies on the initial mis-read.

The whole Radio Shack thing surprises me too. Seriously, who has ever seen a person actually go in to a Radio Shack? I can see it now. Lance and his lost boys have to get special faded jerseys again, when they don't get paid.
lets say you are a professional musician and something breaks at the wrong time. Radio Shack is a life saver. just sayin'.

I was in one right after the 1st of the year looking for an Ipod. I think I visited that store for 2 weeks straight and they never had the one I wanted.

A picture, emblazoned with whining rants, is worth a thousand words.

Don't forget, Hinault, standing just to Armstrong's left, averted his eyes at that moment and looked toward the ground. That's what people do in the presence of someone they say should get their asses kicked.

they actually are a smaller version of Best Buy. They sell phones, ipods, Boze etc. They have changed over the times. Of course they still have the electronic cables and junk.

My guess is that he feels the same way about Contador. How dare he not bend to Lance's wishes?!?!?!!? Doesn't he know that Lance won 7 Tour de Frances in a ROW?

In all seriousness, it could have been that he saw Hinault. Or that someone farted. It could have been just an awkward moment caught on camera. But in the context of what has been happening (not going to the team party saturday, generally acting less than enthusiastic about Contador's overall, etc., etc.), it seems he's just an unhappy camper. Since I'm not Lance, I have no idea.
