Not that it makes any difference, but he is Belgian.A French cyclocross rider who won a race yesterday is called Clément Horny...
Grobbendonk is quite a cool name tooI think he is the only (or one of the few) rider from Wallonia who has been racing in the biggest events of the season. (Wikipedia has Daan Soete as coming from Liège, but I think that's incorrect as other sources say he is from Herentals and he states that he is from Grobbendonk in his strava profile).
Being the best from the region must leave him always very excited to race.
If you think Grobbendonk is a cool name what about......Grobbendonk is quite a cool name too![]()
59% of people with the surname Bomboi are found in Sardinia. The name is of Catalan origin meaning 'Good Neighbour'.Davide Bomboi just signed with TDT-Unitbet.
Pretty cool name for a Belgian. I'm curious towards the etmology.
You'd have thought they would have been very far from each other, actually.I was scrolling the list of riders for the CQ Ranking Manager game and found Tim Marsman and Martins Pluto very close to each other on the list. Coincidence?
While in terms of direct distance, yes, but if you sort them by distance to each other, Tim Marsman should actually be closer on average to Martins Pluto than anyone from planet Earth (though that may vary over years). You'd have thought they would have been very far from each other, actually.
Now that I think of it, the last winner on Willunga Hill was a guy named Holmes. Then they scratch that finish and this guy shows up.There is a guy from the Australian TDU team who goes by the name of James Moriarty![]()
Must be pretty far away because I'm not familiar with that Planet and I assume I would've heard about every Planet that's located in the Solar System.Where is Charles Planet situated relative to the others?
Maybe it's located in the Soler System?Must be pretty far away because I'm not familiar with that Planet and I assume I would've heard about every Planet that's located in the Solar System.
And with a name that sounds very much like JacquesInteresting to see a rider named Anquetil crop up in the Australian junior road race
Zach Anquetil (procyclingstats.com)
Yeah it's a huge lie, because he actually represents the Bear National Team!
DNF in the same race was someone called Nick Peddler. Good name for a cyclist but obviously needs to pedal faster.Okay, I know I have been spamming this thread lately, but there was a guy in the Australian Nats who has the name Tasman Blizzard!!!!!
