Yes. In Breton, -ig is a diminutive suffix. So Yannig/Yannick = little John, Perig/Pierrick = little Peter. Gaël is a Breton name that is popular throughout France. So Gaëlig probably means little Gaël.
 
I just realised that there is a Serbian cyclist called Dusan Rajovic and a Serbian tennis player called Dusan Lajovic.
There's a French cyclist called Enzo Paleni and an Italian cyclist called Lorenzo Milesi and a French skijumper called Enzo Milesi and I heard about all of them for the first time at around the same time, which at the time confused the hell out of me and I couldn't remember which one of them is called "Enzo" or "Lorenzo".
