to be honest once a rider has ridden for a country I dislike the notion that they can rider for another. really lame imo.

As for your statement, I don't know. If she's lived there a long time, has the citizenship either through marriage or regular naturalization, than its her good right to change.

I just think its a little weird about how fast its gone. I remember from the Heinrich Haussler story that he needed not to have competed for Germany for a period of over two year before being allowed to ride for Australia. But Villumsen rode for Denmark in '09, and New Zealand last year and now. Was the rule waived for her or something?

ahh okay..

sounds like she has have some years in new zealand like a study period / cycling and live with a family, she really have fall in love with then , and therefore moved to new zealand.
