Aussies back in the bunch.

edit: so the french and aussies looks like they should be the ones to take in the break with their sprinters?

What is an Eritrean rider doing there?

Clearly didn't get the memo that African riders should be seen at the back and DQ'ed.

DISCLAIMER: THAT WAS A JOKE, FYI

Dunno where the British riders are. Hopefully sitting on somewhere JV team order style.

Edit. One appears.

Look to me like they're protecting Luke Rowe for a sprint finish. Others are taking their turn policing the moves.

I expect GB, the Aussies, the Dutch and the Americans to start pulling soon to bring it all back for a big bunch kick at the end.

If this race is anything to go by, it looks very hard to get away from the peloton which makes me think the course is pretty easy. I can't see anything but a decent bunch kick on Sunday.

should save himself for the sprint.

But if he's in the break, it sticks, he wins, the other aussies don't have to chase and get to rest for the finish if it comes back.

Thought you didn't like sprinters just sitting in and jumping at the finish? :p

Just tuned in. That final hill looks very tough (for a sprint).

I think it looks harder than it is to be honest. Might be too hard for a sprinter like Cav but I'd say Boonen, Hushovd, Friere, Rojas (if he's racing) will be rubbing their hands at this.

Yeah the hill is perfect for powersprinters like houshovd and perhaps gilbert and sagan. Not quite sure its steep enough for the latter, we'll see :)

Definitely. It's a perfect sprint for Hushovd. Gilbert will do well too, even if he waits for the sprint.

Be aware of the rather large German Gorilla sitting in the corner.

Honestly, it's hard not to pick Gilbert for that one. You know he's planning on it.

I just tuned in but these U23s are pretty exciting.
