Hepburn looked like he missed the jump then gave up?

Looked like Hepburn just lost his wheel, couldn't decide whether to follow the f
french or the british train and then was lost in the middle.

He just blew.

Hepburn was really hurting in that final km. You could see his face. When palmer was leading out, he was grimacing. Durbridge will be gutted.

Yeah maybe Palmer would have been a better option

Wtf were Australia thinking?
That was an early day's Sky leadout...........only much slower.
Caused some of those final lap problems.
Demare was my little pick elsewhere.

Leadout was fine, Hepburn was very well placed. If he'd had the legs he'd have won.

Is the finish a false flat (up hill)? It looked like a lot of riders popped at the end. Maybe it was the hard last laps.

Betancour should have waited for the sprint.

Démare and Petit impressive, Selig as well. Berhane got 28th in the end.

the pro's won't attack as much as the u23's therefore a bunch sprint is highly likely for the men's race. the u23's couldn't of attacked any more and still a big bunch sprint took the victory.

More than a false flat, but supposedly not as hard as it appears.

Hepburn was clearly gone, looking at him in the last 5km.

Great win for France.

Yeah I agree, he should've leadout Palmer. Oh well hindsight is a wonderful thing

But the 200+ kilometres before that with non stop attacks are.

LOL no way. Cavendish will be as tired as anyone else and fresher than some. If he doesn't win it'll be because of the final ramp, not because of the "hardness" of the race.

you really think GB is a better cycling nation than australia? come back to reality, mate.

I never said it was, but you said Aus is better in EVERY facet. The results of this weeks mens TT would seem to disprove that.

Left on the front with over a km to go?
My idea of well placed clearly differs with yours and Team Oz.
Race was decided inside the final 100m
The favourite and fastest man won.

The course is not at all selective. Huge group left at the finish.
Big bunch sprint and/or crash carnage on Sunday.

Can anyone explain what type of riders were in the top ten generally? I watched the sprint: the gradient definitely did have an effect, but it looked like it could still be one for a pure sprinter. Basically Phil out, Cav in.
