I wouldnt mind if she got beat like last year, but this year she got boxed in. Losing when it isnt your fault is so so so so bitter... :(
Last year she was 2nd because she boxed someone else in. That's cycling.

That was a woeful race, on a woeful parcours. Not fit to be a World Championships.

Congratulations to Bronzini, commiserations and congratulations together to Vos and Teutenberg. Great performance to double up, but overall the race just left a bad taste in the mouth.

Last year she was the strongest as well, she had to start the sprint way too early to still catch the girl who was off the front, don't remember who it was.

Apparently no one's impressed.

i think it was cooke and arndt.

She didn't go they won, and bronzini took the ride until the last 50m where vos ran out of gas. That was painful I was standing right where vos got passed :(

STill props to Bronzini, it is just 5 2md places in a row... ridicilious. Would be so awesome if she finally won.. in holland.

Totally agree, that race was an absoulte disagrace. Hughes deseved to win it because she had a go and put in a bold big attack.

The Dutch would have to be devastated.

It's really just a bad course.
I wanted to give it the benefit of the doubt, but the racing in the last couple of days have confirmed the suspected.

The man U23 was way better(although still not a very good race)

UCI should just say f*ck you to crappy bids like this. Not worthy of a World championship imo.

Aha. So the city of cycling is not worthy a World Championship. Records were set wednesday with the amount of spectators and a TT in the middle of the city is quite unique. Sure, the road race course is not very demanding but to say that a small country like Denmark, who has so much influence in the sport considering its seize, in not worthy is just stupidity.

they deserve a go, but that doesn't mean the fans should appreciate such a course.

Denmark is worthy, Copenhagen is not. Unless there are some hills nearby the city or some small twisty roads that I'm not aware of. And if so, they should have used them.

A flat WC is unforgivable. Sprinters should get a chance, I agree, but does that mean the race needs to be flat with 0 real hills? NO! Last year the sprinters had a chance and a sprinter won. So don't give me that ****ty argument that sprinters deserve a chance too. In fact, sprinters get plenty of chances. As long as they aren't one trick ponies.

As for the time trial. I didn't see a unique city. In fact, I though Copenhagen was a more beautiful city. It looked quite dull during the time trial. I certainly didn't see a city of cycling.

To those badmouthing the course, obviously you're right but it's no excuse. The junior women yesterday rode a lap together and then took it in turns shooting off the front. And let's not forget that the junior men survived from an attack. There were teams with nothing at stake in a bunch sprint who could have made the Dutch, Germans, Brits and Italians burn up some of their domestiques if they'd tried. The level of defeatism on display was shocking.

Definitely not. The course could have been alot better but when you see the show up tommorow and the love for the sport in this area of the world it's simply not fair to say it's not worthy a WC.

They should have just sent them up and down the Øresundsmotorvejen and prayed for wind.

There are some places to put a half decent parcours in Denmark. This isn't one of them. Nor is anywhere the Giro is going next year either, sadly.

The course is so lame its ridiculous.
Maybe some inclement weather would help but this is an aberration of a course and somebodies head should roll for awarding the Worlds to this place.

we understand that a lot of people like cycling in Denmark although that does not mean that it is acceptable to have a shocking course. it's a ****ing joke.
