I had the Tadej version: tired and sniffles one day (dirt ride in the AM), in bed one day with 100 temp, tired and sniffles one day, a little 'off' for a few days (but still dirt rides). I dodged it for over fours years, but my wife brought it back from NOLA with her.

It's good you only had a mild version and I think it's pretty much inevitable we'll all get it at some point no matter how much we try to protect ourselves. (I lasted 3.5 years before my brother brought covid to me from Texas over the holidays last year.) At least now we know what we're dealing with though and we know what to do if we do catch it.

It's a pretty hard sell to say anything positive about Covid but the therapeutics and diagnostics are absolutely outstanding, variety of fast inexpensive tests, tons of quality information at the disposal of public and healthcare professionals.
You can get the virus and in just these few short years, everyone involved knows what to do and minimal danger.
Sort of strange how everything has shaken out once you remove political hysteria and just plain BS, get out of the way of science and medical pros. Inconvenient for sure but most people are back on their feet fast because of all the diagnostic tools in place!!
