NOOOO! Not Wiggins and Boonen out on the same frickin day.

And I have Chavanel surrering from a fall as well so a lot of my potential scorers in the Tour are in trouble.

Hopefully with Wiggins gone I can get more out of Gerrans and Uran that I would have otherwise. And with guys like Wiggins, Brajkovic and Horner gone it may mean higher placings for Cunego and Vandevelde as well.

Sure do hope so because apart from Cav my tour is looking like a wipeout!

I have lost quite a few riders due to injuries (Wigo, Boonen, Brutt) but I can assure you that I'm really proud to have Johnny Hoogerland on my team whether he will continue or not. What a champ!

Well, taking a risk on a rider who only peaks for June and July just bit me.

JVDB is right around 60%... and even if he recovers to contend the Vuelta I'm not sure he's got much of a chance to pay back his cost.

At least Wiggins had paid off his investment before his injury... I was really counting on the tour for JVDB.

Ya, this is very true. When I chose Wiggins I did it based on the fact that they stated that he would have more goals in the early season other than just the Tour which I thought would make him a good investment, which turned out to be true. If Wiggins had continued to focus only on the Tour like in 2010 it would have been harder to choose him.

New ranking is out.

The new top 10 is:

ingsve 8377
LukeSchmid 7365
Pcutter 7258
Waterloo Sunrise 7239
Handbrake 7188
theyoungest 7174
The Hitch 7103
Bumeington 7088
Gotland 6975
AAC1983 6929

There are a couple place shifts but no one entered or left the top 10. There were some big moves lower down. The biggest I saw in a quick check was mc_mountain that moved from 29th to 15 by having riders like Kessiakoff, Cavendish and EBH.

Since people are asking, might as well post the full list:

I am not in the league, but looking at it, its amazing. Though does nobody thinks the thread suffered when moved from Cycling Thread ? Would prefer to have it there. Loving reading it .

Ya it does suffer from being moved. Also some people have probably lost interest after their teams were ruined by doping suspensions and injuries etc.

It is still fun. I really enjoy that Kessiakoff is back on rigth track after his fatigue problems last season. Next year I think he will be up with the best climbers.

Yeah, peoples enthusiasm for all games has waned since the move. They did need their own place though, the PRR forum was getting inundated with them all.

thanks ingsve. I've been trying to use the cq downloads with a former spreadsheet from one of these updates, but my mac spreadsheet program doesn't recognize the same formulas and won't work properly. So I appreciate the full list every week.

Damn, 27th is almost getting respectable for me! I was pretty skeptical after my early season disappointments, but Kessiakoff and Modolo both finally got me some points this week. Now all I have to do is hope that with the attrition of GC candidates in the tour that Vandevelde and Cunego can keep high positions. Though I dunno what I'm going to do for the Vuelta, I think I'd have been much better served if Kreuziger and Van Garderen (2 of my somewhat more unique picks) hadn't done the Tour... maybe Sicard will finally not be injured and turn out to be a GC wunderkind; or maybe Ricco's suspension will turn out to be just a big misunderstanding and he'll ride. Although with that kind of wishful thinking, I might as well hope Boonen turns into a GC candidate.

I'm pretty happy to be in the top half at this point, considering I didn't spend quite as long picking my team as I could have.

THe tour is simply killing me.

Van den Broeck - Out... and judging by the amount of time he spent in the hospital I doubt he'll be back this year.
Wiggins - Out
Boom - Out
Steegmans - Out
VDV - way down the rankings
Van Garderen - way WAY down the rankings
Mollema - ditto
Ciolek - invisible
Hoogerland - beat up, but at least he gave me something
Uran - possible top 15
Danielson - my only hope at a top 10

Honestly, horrible results overall. The crashes have killed me.

Boonen out, Willems out, Boom out. The last 2 not a huge loss, Boonen could have squirreled a few points perhaps. Chavanel hurt and there have been 3 stages which would have been quite manageable for him where the break made it to the end. So that's not good.
