Just looked over my team to realise where it has gone so massively wrong. A couple of people I shouldn't have picked..

Cavendish - unless he wins stages + pts jerseys at the Tour and Vuelta then I can see him barely breaking even. Maybe he will win the Worlds somehow.

He's comfortably ahead of last year already, and is riding the same schedule from now onwards, so I wouldn't worry too much.

And expensive riders breaking even is a pretty good thing anyway - riders going from 50 to 250 are great, but you need the odd expensive buy to get up to 7500, and if they break even and avoid disaster that's as well as you can expect given the limited scope for upside.

Ya, you had a very good week. You had all of the same big scorers as me and a couple more that reduced the gap quite a bit.

We'll see what happens at the Tour. I think I need both Wiggins and Cunego to do really well to even have a shot at staying on top.

I don't think I have any chance of catching you at all. I think I will have alot of domestiques at the tour and noone with much chance of getting points.

My riders at the tour based on this list, http://www.sporza.be/cm/sporza/wielrennen/Tour/1.809973

Riche Porte - working for Contador, maybe something in TT or TTT
Chris Anker Sorensen - working for Contador
Rémy Di Gregorio - working for Vinokourov.
Tomas Vaitkus
Sergej Ivanov - if picked
Denis Galimzyanov - some top tens, maybe top 5 on sprint stages
Damiano Cunego - My only GC shot and not really a good one. Outside top 10 chance.
Daniel Oss - maybe in a break could do something.
Tom Boonen - Not sure how he is going to get many points.
Gert Steegmans
Rigoberto Urán - Working for Wiggins.
Simon Gerrans - if picked
Matthew Goss - depends on his role. If he gets to contest some sprints might score okay but I don't think it will happen.

Matthew Goss - depends on his role. If he gets to contest some sprints might score okay but I don't think it will happen.

My list:

-Jurgen Vandenbroeck - Team leader. Need a strong result from him here.
-Gerald Ciolek - He's done NOTHING all year. Will he get a shot to sprint?
-Gert Steegmans - Will he get a shot to sprint?
-Lars Boom - Might get some chances in certain stages.
-Bauke Mollema - Working for Gesink but could still get a top 20 GC if he doesn't inentionally rest on some stages.
-Brad Wiggins - Team leader for the GC it seems. Probably not going to do great, but a 8th-10th place result might be possible... which would be great.
-Rigoberto Uran - Backup leader should Wiggins flop. Top 20 possibly.
-Ben Swift - May get a chance to place in some stages.
-Christian Vandevelde - Possible team leader. Top 20 GC possiblity.
-Tom Danielson - Probably working for another, but top 20 GC possibility.
-Tejay Van Garderen (if he makes the team) - Off chance at a top 20. Might get an ITT result.
-Johnny Hoogerland - No idea.

11 or 12 riders, with some good lower GC placing possibilities.

If I get a scenario like this... good times:

JVB2 - 5th
Wiggins - 10th
VDV - 12th
Mollema - 16th
Uran - 18th
Danielson - 20th
TJVG - 25th

That would be about 1000 points just from final GC placings. Throw in a few podiums on stages and that may be enough to put me above 7500 (1380 away prior to the NC's)

My Tour team....

A.Schleck Anything worse than second place is failure. Maybe a few days in yellow if I'm lucky.
M.Cavendish Green jersey, grab a few stage wins.
D.Cunego Top 15 GC, maybe a stage win. Would be awesome if he somehow got the polka dots.
C.Vande Velde Top 15 GC.
B.Bozic Second place to Cav on every sprint stage :p Nah, maybe grab a few good placings.
A.Txurruka Stage win is possible.
V.Karpets Hopefully I'll get 20 points if he finishes.
M.Ignatiev Hoping he can finish.

Love those minijerseys on the Sporza site btw.

I wouldn't completely trust that Sporza site. Some teams are quite right.

Based on the Sporza list I have

Tiralongo - not sure how many points he'll get, won't be much unless he wins a stage.
Evans - expect at least a top 5 with some strong placings so from 300 -700points.
Bookwalter - going to be a workhorse. Don't see many points.
Moinard - as above
Morabito - as above though could ride a top 2 overall.
Quinziato - as above
Vandevelde - Could ride a top 10 160
Renshaw - could pick up some points on stages.
Ivanov - a possible stage victory?
O'Grady - working for schleck.

I have a crap tour team.

Brice Feillu
John Gadret
Simon Gerrans
Heinrich Haussler?
Mikhael Ignatiev
Bauke Mollema
Richie Porte
Pierre Rolland
Amets Txurruka
Rein Taaramae

I suppose if Rolland can recapture his 2009 form, Txurruka stage win, Taaramae sneaking into the top 10 etc. Could get a stage win through Txurruka.

Much better than mine, should score lots more points.

Sorry that I haven't been updating.. I've been very busy lately. Hopefully I'll be able to update when the next update is uploaded on cqranking. I should be.

After that I'll be on vacation for two weeks so no update july 4th and july 11th - hopefully someone else will do them :)

Don't worry about it too much. You are doing a great job and it is understandable that you are going to be busy at various times. I am sure we can get do some unoffical updates while you are away.

Slovenia - won thanks to Bole and got me 60 points. Perfect.
Netherlands - really disappointing. I expected Terpstra to be up there, and seeing how the race was going I thought Gesink would get a nice result, but alas. Kreder was 11th, and Terpstra got me some points in the TT, but that's all.
Spain - highlight for me, thanks to Jesús Herrada who scored 90 points (5th in the TT, 4th in the RR) and also to Madrazo (5th in the RR).
Belgium - Van Avermaet was disappointing today. I only had Bakelants and he only was 15th.
France - I hoped Joly could get in the top 10 or something. I'm not sure he even rode.
Germany - I was hoping Martens would get me some points but apparently the race was too easy.
Italy - Santambrogio's 2nd was nice, but who's to say I won't lose his points later on?
Great Britain - I seriously hoped Dowsett would win.

I guess it could have been worse.

So far I have 4 national road race champions on my team with Finland still to come next week where I'm hoping Veikkanen wins. Does anyone have more than that?

I have:

Sylvain Chavanel
Alexander Kristoff
Raimunas Navadauskas
Bradley Wiggins

Nice!
I have just three.

Brutt
Spartacus
Wigo

BTW Giving Luxembourg 60 points for national title is a joke ....

What are your points expectations per rider from the Tour? My guess is about 100 per rider so having about 10 riders I'm expecting 1000 points. Not sure if I'm being reasonable.

My Tour team:

Cancellara
O'Grady
Vande Velde
Kreuziger
Boonen
Wiggins
Taaramae
Brutt
Renshaw
Hoogerland
