CQ ranking

Page 109 - Get up to date with the latest news, scores & standings from the Cycling News Community.
Menchov, Boonen, Bennati, Chavanel, Le Mevel, Löfkvist, Haussler, Le Lay, Dessel, de la Fuente, Kessiakoff, Arvesen, Cobo.

3 sprinters that won't win a flat sprint and aren't particularly likely to win a slightly more difficult stage but should score some points on most of the (every?) sprinter stages

Menchov should hopefully finish top 10 even if things aren't working out for a win instead of a slump

a few stage hunters but I don't really see that many stages for them except for week 3

Le Mevel, Cobo, Kessiakoff as top 15 hopefuls

500 points is the aim

I had Kreder and Bole collecting some points in Hamburg. If Kreder does good in the autumn classics he might make a profit yet. As for the Vuelta, well, I actually expect more from the Tour du Poitou-Charentes (Herrada and Dowsett, I'm counting on you).

Eddy Boasson-Hagen has now paid for himself. :) Here's hoping there is enough season left for him to shine up some pretty profit points.

Reckon my best buy this season has been Tony Gallopin.

Ah, I do like this competition, even though I am far from being a contender. Thanks again Hugo Koblet.

I'm sure EBH has a few hundred more points in him. His next races are Plouay, Quebec and Montreal before Worlds. Not sure if he's riding anything more than that but I guess there are some races in October that suits him as well if he's up for it.

Update 32

ingsve is still on top but now only leads by 530 points to Waterloo Sunrise who moves up one spot. Can ingsve hold on during the Vuelta? The former leader AAC1983 is the only new team in the top 10 this week.

The only real high jumper this week is Spare Tyre who moves from 35th to 22nd.

47 teams have now surpassed the break even point, while ingsve is the first to break 10.000 points - congratulations!

My words exactly!! I was thinking "okay, now is the time for my team to gain some points" but I guess not

Well, with the number of teams above me holding Anton... I'm kind of happy about that.

So far things look okay for me. Anton faltering. JVDB, Mollema and Wiggins all looking pretty solid for respectable finishes in the final GC. Maybe a top 10 overall is still in the cards.

Youngsters Jess Sergent and Alex Dowsett take 1-2 at Pitou Charente.
Dowsett also takes the final stage, to deliver a +1000% CQ bonus to his buyers, in just this race. Sergent, too, passes the 1000% return for the season.
I'm very happy with AD, since the Vuelta week 1 has so far amassed me the huge sum of 15 points.

With Breschel's departure, seems like he'll still be a cheap buy for next season. Sucks in the real world though. He was one of my favorites for the Worlds. Hopefully he makes a speedy recovery.

Alex Dowsett owners high-five!

Stealthily, I'm climbing..used to be like 75 out of 89, now I'm 55. I might even break even! I had counted on Anton winning a stage and GC at the Vuelta, though, which looks increasingly improbable. And I was unsure of picking EBH, given the cost, but I was sure his spring must be better than the last, until he got injured again. Might get a bit of profit from him yet, but not a great buy.

Other disappointments: Felline, Guarnieri, Ignatiev,Ivanov, Pozzovivo. These guys better hurry up and at least break even. Also a pity about Sicard, but in that case I feel more sorry for him than for myself and my little team.

Boy van Poppel I picked just because of the name. Anyone knows what he's up to?

Anton seemed to do pretty good today. Maybe he's getting over his bad luck in previous days. Might be too early to say though.

Ya, though there were still reports that he was struggling and was behind the peloton at some part of the stage. I didn't see the whole stage so I don't know if that was true but if it is then he might still struggle further.

He certainly was yo-yoing back and forth on that 1st 2nd category climb but the fact he finished so highly says he's getting better. He'll probably still lose a bit of time in tonights stage.
