What I'm surprised about is that there are so many neo pros that a lot of people selected. 258 for Matthews, 214 for Phinney and 144 for Degenkolb for example are not points that they will beat with any certainty next year when they will be riding much thougher programs than this year and for any of them to get over 4-500 points so that they are profitable seems almost impossible.

I guess that's the Sagan effect :p

By the way: cudos to The Cobra for picking Floyd Landis!

Nice work!

ingsve, have you in some way managed to get the "program" or "spreadsheet" to count these by itself? Or have you manually counted it? I'm sure there are a lot of neat little tricks to be learned that could potentially save me a lot of time.

Hugo, while it may take some time to setup, you might want to spend some time now to make the updating easier as the season progresses.

CQ provides a download in XLS format in a format like this:

1 1 1994 ITA19841114 NIBALI Vincenzo LIQ ITA 26 2203

Column C (which is hidden) is the rider's ID, column E is their name and column I is their points.

If you change the name for the riders for each team to match the CQ format, or enter the rider ID for each rider (1994 for Nibali), you can do a vertical lookup from one sheet to another to get their points, then total it at the bottom for each team.

Then, all you have to do to update the points is to download the CQ data, copy it into your lookup sheet... and it will total automatically.

Also, Ulissi the obscure, I think.
ingsve must have the patience of a saint, though.

HK has certainly livened up this pre-Christmas board, with his labour of love. (and burden of 8 months!)

Ulissi is there.

Hugo apparently missed the addition of Le Mevel from Roundabout so he isn't in the spreadsheet at all.

I've got this working easily enough... the crap part is getting all the names to match what CQ has... especially for spanish riders. Their names are in like ANTON HERNANDEZ Igor, and MOSQUERA MIGUEZ Ezequiel.

If everyone could PM me their team with their riders in the CQ format, I can put a spreadsheet together real quick and send it to our "league commisioner" tomorrow.

Pliushin was one of the last riders I removed to smil my list down. I think the guy will explode one day but it was a little to uncertain if it will be already next year.

My exclusive picks are Duran, who is a little of a mistake since I removed Duarte instead of Duran when slimming. Also Trent Lowe and Thomas Rohregger who are both cheap and will be some of the few riders on Pegasus who can handle thougher races so I think they could do fairly well in the type of 2.1 and 2.2 races that Pegasus can get invited too.

Cant believe Hugo has been generous enough to let me in. Its
Only going to take me a few minutes add the numbers up and send it.
But i swear on my life i havent see a single persons list and am not going to look until ive sent it.
Oh, and it wouldnt matter anyway, insgaves well rationed post this morning makes me think hes the favourite

Well, even if the reasoning is sound it still comes down to the ability to accurately assess if a rider will be good or not next year so I could be way off in some of my guesses. Plus I didn't choose most of the cheaters who could prove very profitable for people.

To the people who spent big on Breschel (Hugo, Libertine and contre la montre):

What we're you thinking? The guy is going to miss, or not be in shape for, all the major spring classics. Where is he going to gain points vis-a-vis last year?

Why the hell are people warning others on who not to pick? You want them to pick riders who will do **** all so you can win! Keep your teams secret
