Update 10:

Things are back to their usual self as microdose regains the lead. Two new teams are to be found in the top 10 as The Hitch and Handbrake captures 9th and 10th place respectively, while Jakob747 and auto de fé moves down the leaderboard.

The big jumpesr this week are auscyclefan94 who celebrates his 10.000th post by moving from 69th to 41st place and The Cobra who swaps his 45th place with a 17th place.

The former top 10 team, trotters aotearoa, continues his decline as he's now to be found in 25th place.

Having Pellizotti and Ricco has worked wonders for my team, apparently. Maybe they've distributed some of their products to their teammates?

I think as of now, very early in the season, the teams are not relying on all their riders to score points. Everyone has riders whose season has not really started and have scored few if any points. As the season goes on the teams will gain more contributors and it perhaps will become more telling that Ricco is not scoring points. On the other hand other riders, like Plaza and Breshel are also having injury problems and there almost certainly will be more big riders injured and maybe doping cases. I doubt there is going to be a team by the end of season who has not had a couple of riders ruled out for significant time with injury or doping. Some teams might end up with alot more problems than others. You are just going to hope that you do not have too many more problems. Ricco is a blow but perhaps not a fatal blow to chances.
Also Goss who is a big part in me being so high is highly unlikely to keep scoring at the same rate so will I have other riders step up and score heavily. I am doubting it.

I'm not familiar with the race, but is it the equivalent of one of those post-tour criteriums where the podium is chosen ahead of time and no real racing goes on?
