Post Tour de France Update

Just done a complete look at everyones scores and ingsve is pummelling the other teams into submission with a massive 1048 point lead over second placed LukeSchmid, yep me. Ya, the Tour was not as bad as I thought it would be for a while. I thought someone was going to put a huge dent into my lead but I think I ended up extending my lead of 2nd place a little since the other people in the top 10 didn't have any fantastic Tours either. The ones that did have massively good Tours were further down like Luckyboy who moved up over 30 places in the last ranking I think.

up to 39th place! I have moved up quite a few places!:)

once greg's victory is accounted for I will be even higher!:)

EDIT: why isn't it an excel file?

it should be a zipped file.
with an excel and word doc inside.

My computer is quite new and up todate. This time around it is different. When Iopened the file all the other times it went sraight to a spreadsheet. When I opened it this time nothing happened. When I saved it and tried to open it my Computer went into meltdown because of it. It is not what it usually is.

I downloaded the zip file and extracted it no problem. Do you have a program like WinRAR to extract the files?

What version of office are you using?

no. all you have to do is add your riders one time.

then after that all you have to do is download a small file from CQ (whenever you want it updated. they bring out an update on a weekly basis), and then a basic copy and paste and your set.
it is pretty easy. I also added some instructions to help.

Ugh, my Mac spreadsheet program is not good at importing those complex formulas. Is anyone able to take up the torch of providing the weekly updates we used to get, that list everyone's teams and such? On one hand, it might be good for me to not be able to obsessively pore over those updates every week, but on the other hand, I need it... so bad...

Amazing, I have been making a steady march upwards in the ranking, at a certain point I was 60th or something and every week I climb a bit further towards the top, in the top 30 now already for the second week in a row

You are the absolute topfavourite to win this competition. Look at how many points you have and than the next one... It's allready a huge gap.

I've been top15-30 all the time, but the TdF didn't do me any good.....

Well, I still think things can change pretty quickly if the right riders get good results. If Igor Anton wins the Vuelta and a few stages and stages in yellow etc then a 1000 point advantage can shrink rapidly.

I've been robbed!

Perhaps due to the lack of diacritics on his first name when I submitted my team, the software hasn't picked up that I had selected Jérôme Cousin. And my 12 point investment has returned a 117% profit. I have been conned out of 26 points and my rightful place in the top 12!

Might be worth others checking their zero scorers: unfortunately, I typed Kai Reus, Bolat Raimbekov and Ruslan Abdulmanov (no, I've no idea either) perfectly accurately, they just haven't got a point (or a team) between them.

Ah, the problem is that CQ ranking added the diacritics in his name for 2011 but when the spreadsheet was made the name was correct.

how many of you has suffered from choosing Ricco. 750 points and I would have been up with the leaders

Well, it's hard to know what would have happened, those points were by no means guaranteed. And if Ricco had done well, maybe some of my other guys wouldn't have scored as many points in those races (although he was my only Vac rider so he probably wouldn't have taken away more than a single place from anyone). Regardless, yeah it's nice to think I'd be in the top 10 with Ricco, but I'm currently in 24th place and there are 8 guys ahead of me that had Ricco too so it's not like I'd be the only one benefitting.

Thanks for the update ingsve, I've been hoping for an in-depth update like this for awhile. I can't believe your lead is so large, I didn't think it'd be possible for one team to stand out so highly in this game. I must say, as someone who has been excited about this game from the get-go, it's nice to see a person in the lead who is an active poster, who got in on the game in the first day, and who has been talking about it all along. The Vuelta is a big hurdle, but soon enough you'll be able to take 'future' out of your signature, I think...
