It is a shame how much they have underperformed in Australia this series.

agreed. really it has just made a boring dull series.

when i look at their body language, I get the feeling they just want the series over

Nice fightback India with three wickets so far in this session, could do with at least one more before lunch.

Yeah, wonder whats up with them, seem to have carried on in aus where they left off in england?

Should Warner get a double hundred then he needs to get there in 16 balls to make it the fastest 200 ever in a test. Or he could afford to take his time and get there in 75 or less to make it the fastest by an australian.

and he eventually goes for 180.

Quite an impressive showing in that list from Sehwag. Doesnt do very well outside the sub-continent though (apart from previous series v australia)

Well, not the score card I expected to see waking up this morning!

Shame that Warner's innings didn't get the support it deserved to help Australia push on to 450+, but at least it gives India a slim chance of making a game of it.

Both Indian openers gone early. This is exactly what I thought might happen with their lack of preparation for this series. I didn't see the point in the England ODIs where they could have played the West Indies in their ODIs and then play the Tests and arrive in the country in time with plenty of time to adjust to Australian conditions. It would have been worthwhile organizing a tour match in Perth before the Test series.

Starc's figures atm are 3-1-3-2.

4 down now. India might as well run up the white flag and go home now. Re warm up games and acclimatising to conidions etc, Fletcher has never been a fan of them. When he was England coach it was a complaint often levelled at the England set up when they went overseas.

Are Australians incapable of beating a crap team without spending the entire session in a circle jerk of self appreciate for their own team?

James Brayshaw is just as bad. This is spineless from India, entirely possible that it could end tonight.

Don't know why Fletcher was appointed in the first place.

Indian team is just pathetic, tigers at home and a fckuing mice abroad but if they were to win the next series at home, everything will be forgotten. They should all be meat eating players, that will help them :D :D :p

At least Dravid and Kohli got to stumps without getting out which is a slight positive for India. I've seen some of the strokes that Kohli plays and it does indicate potential at Test level, but he just needs to convert that start into a century and he may well be set. Interestingly enough when Laxman got out, the commentators were predicting that is Test career is on very thin ice.

On a different subject, I've noticed in the New Zealand T20 that Kane Williamson who bowls off spin, is becoming quite an effective T20 bowler, he opens the bowling for Northern Districts and picked up two wickets (his best recently was 3/33) but off his four overs he only went for 4.75 an over which is very impressive considering he is not a specialist bowler. It will be worth seeing how he will go if he nominates for the IPL auction and if he gets a bidder if his bowling is anything to go by.

I mute the TV and listen to the radio. Harsha Bhogle and Kerry O'Keeffe are brilliant. And the rest are very good, with the exception of Drew Morphett, who can be a little jingoistic.
They have lots of anecdotes, and actually give some insight into what's happening, rather than promoting the stupid vodafone app/ selling KFC.

Its all over. Kohli battled away but the last four wickets went down with no runs being scored and Hilfenhaus took three in one over. An innings and 37 runs was the eventual margin. Wonder who will be dropped for the next match?

Not the best of starts for England against ****stan. 44/5 with the spinners introduced early and doing the damage.

Edit: 52/5 at lunch. Prior and Morgan the not out batsmen
