Well, it is natural to be upset if you lose or do poorly, but England haven't lost (yet!) and the team haven't been complaining - I assume you are talking about the complaints by the English media about Ajmal's action? What Bob Willis says should be taken with a healthy pinch of salt. He complained that the ****stani spinners were wearing long sleeves (to hide the flex in their elbow) yet I didn't see him mentioning that Swann was also wearing long sleeves...

DRS has had a bit of a shocker this morning - technology has done no favours for either Ajmal or Strauss. However, a long way to go in the match, and I seem to remember a certain match in Brisbane where England came back from a similar first innings deficit... (or is that still a sore spot for the Aussies ;) )

I just had to come on to post on this trainwreck from England. How sh!te must India be to lose four nil to England and possibly Australia.

PS- Why was the curry munchers post edited ? Not racist in cricket, jut like Pomgolians isn't or Sheep (which I used for NZ once) isn't.

The only saving grace is that England has a tail that India could only dream of having, ie beyond Zaheer's 'hit sixez or get out' method.

Poor England, came up against a ****stan team not willing to throw the match.

Haha.

Very disappointing from England's batsmen - no application in either innings, and far too many stupid shots giving their wickets away.

Neil Wagner picks up 3 wickets for the New Zealand XIin the tour match against Zimbabwe, yet another South African set to play Tests for another country (I don't think Wagner is eligible yet, but I'll be shocked if he doesn't get picked) which will be good timing to come in and replace Chris Martin while the likes of Southee, Doug Bracewell, and Boult to get more experience. Incidentally, Doug's cousin Mark Bracewell opened for the New Zealand XI, if you're born a Bracewell, it looks almost certain you play cricket at a high level. Whilst on the subject of New Zealand cricket, I see Andre Adams picked up 3 wickets for Auckland to help them win the HRV CUP (New Zealands T20 competition, which Murali played for Wellington), if there is a guy who has been criminally under-rated by the NZC set up when it comes to Tests, it's Adams. IMO he's deserved to play more than one Test.

Brad Hodge announces his retirement from Cricket with the Bushrangers.

Sad to see him retire considering he deserved so much better in regards to being selected for all forms of the game.

The Sri Lankan cricket board is the new PCB with all the chaos that has been happened with Geoff Marsh sacked, Dilshan resigning and Jayawardene becoming captain again. Comedy gold for non Sri Lankan fans, and lots of face palming for Sri Lankan fans.

Agreed. Sad to see after Sangakkara's lecture at Lord's last year. You would hope that that might have been a wake up call to the Sri Lankan administrators, the team has become a poorly performing merry-go-round.

Elsewhere, another huge stand from Punter and Clarke against the Indians, 335-3 at close of play. I know it's been said before, but the Indian attitude is truly dreadful, and sad to see from one of the supposed top 4 teams in the world.

Dilshan is a horrendous captain. Matthews is too young and in my opinion isn't captaincy material, even though most Sri Lankans think so. Sanga won't take it.
Tharanga isn't a regular in the Test team and Sam isn't in the ODI team.

There isn't anyone other than Mahela to captain and he was arguably the best SL captain since Arjuna.

Chaos and Politics is nothing new to SL cricket.

Sacking of Marsh certainly is a mistake in my opinion. He was coach when Aussies won the 99 WC and his stint in Zimbabwe should familiarize him to deal with political interference, which will be rampant in SL cricket.

Ford on the other hand declined previous coaching offers from India and SL, and one reason mentioned was he didn't like the political interference.

Having been a previous coach of RSA, he might also bring their famous choke:D to a team which lacks ruthlessness and mental strength to finish things off.
Remember we were runners up in the last 2 50 over WCs and the T 20 WC in England.

The funny thing is that they didn't do badly in the first session, picking up 3 wickets is always a bonus and Sehwag showed some great captaincy by taking off Yadav after one over and giving the ball to Ashwin which was something Warner didn't like and Zaheer got him plumb in front for 8, and it was more good bowling by Ashwin that got Cowan out.

Agreed, but they then seemed to switch off a bit and go very defensive very early - no slips (or only one 'floater') for example. Quite negative imho. And although introducing Ashwin was a very good move, as a quick bowler myself, I intensely dislike seeing the new(-ish) ball being given to a spinner! :D
