Surely Khawaja could not do worse.

Considering his age and the fact that he has at least done as well as Cowan in the lead-up games, time for the kid to be given a good go.

The Australian management seem to hate Khawaja. Like punishing him in homework gate even though he didn't play a single match on tour. Ridiculous.

Cowan at 3 is untenable, best to drop him now, and bring in somebody who isn't that limited. Khawaja, Warner, anybody else who's available, ought to be considered. I'm not saying Cowan should be permanently ditched, I reckon after Rogers calls it quits, Cowan should considered to replace him if his form's good.

He's obviously more open minded than the last two coaches. Cowan has to open. That is the position for him, the only one I think. He is like a less talented Katich and less disciplined. If Warner gets runs for Australia A he will probably get back in.

The only thing Cowan gets after this test is an airplane ticket back to Hobart.

Every time he gets off strike I heave a huge sigh of relief. Rogers should protect him as though he's batting with a tailender, until Anderson and Broad tire.

The run rate has dropped to a crawl. English have tightened up their bowling.

Not really, it's just harder to score against the old ball. We shouldn't have taken the new ball, in hindsight, until it was impossible to keep using the old ball.

311 looks so far away now that Australia may as well be chasing 1111.

And here comes Sir Steve Border Waugh Chanderpaul Smith to bail us out of a tough spot.

Swann's back. Getting some sharp turn.

It's so strange to see Swann not wearing full sleeves.

Depends on how much you watch English cricket... ;)

Must be a bit too warm for his liking.

Clarke looking more settled now.

Lol at the shouts of catch when the ball is slamming into the middle of the pad, a good 10 cm from bat or glove.
