What happened to him anyway. He was fine in the Tour of Belgium hilly stage. Here at 4 minutes?
Taking it easy on purpose?

Very impressive win for Cadel Evans. The haters
will not be happy with that. Not happy at all.

How many "Evans haters" still exist?

There may be plenty that would rather see somebody else win, but that's not hating, that's just preferring somebody else. Evans has, over the last three years, broken all of the previous conceptions about his riding.

There may still be plenty who are fed up of the likes of sportzchick and the Aussie Aussie Aussie Oi Oi Oi brigade, who will keep telling us how everybody hates Evans even though we don't, and correspondingly would prefer Evans not to win to save us that, but that's not being against Evans himself per se.

Cuddles has grown on me over the past year. I couldn't stand the guy for the longest time, but his ride last year, and him doing things like that make me want to root for him. Cuddles for the Tour!!

this stage shows what a brilliant descender cadel is.
Not at the level of nibali but not far behind.

You see, that's just lazy ad hominem.

Sky finished with 7 men in the front group. If you want to believe they were busting a gut to close the gap, feel free, but it wasn't shown on the TV screens.

In PN and Romandie they entered every climb at the front. Today the sat in the pack and did nothing. It was a noticable change of approach; I can only presume some sort of scenario practice, but rather odd nontheless.

No, there were two guys trying to pull it back and they couldn't handle the job. I realize your national pride will not allow you to recognize reality, but that is a common foible among people, so no shame there.

But I can't wait to count the placings when they come out to see if 7 of them finished in the front group.

Equally that could have been to try and get EBH the stage win, I think you're arguing over a moot point.

Sky will not be overly worried that Evans got 4 seconds at this stage.

...or Cadel is not feeling that great and he wants to score while he can, we'll find out during the ITT and up Joux Plane.

Yeah sky tried to chase at first and let other teams help later but cadel was too strong.

Yea, Sky isn't worried about the guy who won the Tour last year....keep telling yourself that.

To be fair they would have caught them if it wasn't for the nature of the descent. The peloton had to go through a tunnel and go around a 90 degree corner. The advantage will always go to the individual riders in front in those circumstances.

But it is.sexist in that it.implies women are weak, prone.to.drama. from.my experience this is not true.

Actually, the word Drama Queen is also sexist. It implies only women are prone to over-reaction. Do you also want that word banned? ;)

It's really just a harmless stereotype and it's no big deal at all.

If he was not feeling great, he would not have even put out such a strong performance today.
