Most of your posts have been relatively effective trolling. This one is slightly embarassing.

I know its supposed to be funny, but I'm just not sure how it could be construed to be so.

I would try to spell embarrassing correctly while posting, but your results may vary.

Well good for them, pulling off a 10th place with that many riders is a miracle!
EBH was working on the front with 80k to go so a 10th place for him is quite impressive...But even when he surprisingly made the front group he didn't have 1 single Sky rider assisting him ahead of the sprint, so they clearly couldn't have cared less about the stage itself. I guess they're all saving energy for the mountains.

Wiggins goes into yellow and saves energy. Sounds like a good result.

Well, Wiggins would have saved energy either way. It's not as if Sky would have put him working on the front. That's what the other lads are there for.

It is a bit odd that Sky made so little attempt to pull back the break, if only because EBH would have been a strong contender for the stage. But it's seems pretty clear that they were holding something in reserve - we've seen what Sky trying and failing to pull someone back looks like at Roubaix and this wasn't it.

Wiggins surely must be making a record for days spent in yellow throughout the season.

Not yet but he will very likely hold it for the duration of this race and with the prologue he could very well continue likwise in the tour.

And doing it in the dullest fashion possible, woot

I suppose it's encouraging that he made it to the end. Hopefully he'll be fine. Otherwise I'm going to suggest that the Martin/Roche family start boycotting the Dauphine, after Roche wrote off much of his season there last year.

Any news on Sanchez?

Odd stage that.
I didn't expect Cadel to bother and the peloton, not to bother.
Sky obviously tried not to take the leader's jersey and failed.

Come the end of July and it still will be.

Seriously??
Are you doubting evans for the tdf?

For the record the peloton bothered. A few teams did try to chase and I saw sky chasing for a while too. The peloton was chasing for most of the time. It was just a strong performance by evans with the help of kash and coppel.
Give credit when credit is due.

Well they both made it to the finish line, that's something.

Sanchez and 2 team mates at 23:54

After the joy of the win subsides, I think Cadel will be disappointed he couldn't pullout the extra second and take yellow. He clearly desperately wanted to get yellow now because he expects wiggins to beat him in the overall. Now he knows he will probably never have it this week.

Lol I think its better BMC don't have the yellow. Its not the yellow in the dauphine he wants its the yellow in the tdf. He couldn't be bothered any less about a stint in the dauphine yellow jersey.

I very much doubt if the Tour champion is "desperate" to spend a day or two in yellow at a warm up race. Evans races to win, and God bless him for it, but in the greater scheme of things, neither he nor Wiggins are going to be overly concerned about the prestige of a stint in yellow at the Daupine.

Or are you just trolling dwlssonic?

He can get it tomorrow if he wants to, as Sky don't seem to want it. Will probably lead Gilbert out though.

Who cares about a few days in yellow in the Dauphine? Not Evans, with his palmares. No need to talk up Wiggins by speculating about Evans thoughts.

Are you sure? Looked like he gave everything to get that yellow today. I think a stage win and holding yellow for a few days was his target for this tour. It's unlikely now that Wiggins will let go of it.

I think he might actually be the leader for tomorrow.
He looks stronger than gilbert.
Or maybe they will do it like how they did it today. A nice 1-2 attack. That would be nice to see.

You know this, how?
Sky had 7 men in that group, but none worked.
Ergo, they didn't want the jersey.
It's obvious.

Even to you, apparently.

Taking nothing away from Cadel's opportunist attack. It was good.

Are you kidding or what.
He gave everything for that freaking stage win. He does not bother about that yellow!! Maybe a rider with a smaller palmares would have cared about a while in yellow, but certainly not evans.

I saw a few sky riders chasing for a while.
I also saw liquigas and OPQS plus a few other teams chasing too.

Why would he lead Gilbert out? Pretty obvious Gilbert doesn't have the form to win a race right now.
