That's something entirely different. I'm not changing their content or opinion in the way I want. I'm merely using a common nickname for an institution and I'm not, by doing that, altering their publications.
And this common nickname just happens to ridicule their very existence ;)

Not that I care. It's just an internet forum, not a credible news source, and thus "creative" quoting doesn't hurt anyone. It's actually a pretty regular joke, but it doesn't sit well with everyone...

Do you guys think Andy dropped out at the final climb so he could be free to try a break away or something? Is there any reasonable explanation for not trying on that climb? Why would he want to drop out of that climb, but contest a future climb in a couple days? Is he really that out of shape??

Yes, he said yesterday in an interview on FR3 that he focuses on the stage on the Joux Plane and only that stage!! so the rest he will let run do some freewheeling ...

Wow. With the good comes the bad with Euskaltel. Sponsorship good news and bad news with their top rider. I'm hoping Samu resigns with Euskaltel. What a heartbreaker me and other Samu fans. Well he can aim for high finish in the Vuelta.

It's really a bloody shame indeed. He would've spiced up the TdF for sure.

Sanchez did not break anything, still to be decided if he will start tomorrow.

Might be that some drama queens (couldn't resist :D ) have thrown the towel too soon. Euskadi knows of no surrender ;)

Sanchez and Martin out of the Tour probably?

Bloody shame really.
Sanchez is out for sure, but I don't know if Martin has an injury?

Dang! If Samu's really out of the Tour I'll have to change my vote for who I think wins the Tour. But hopefully he can go full strength at the Tour. (X... fingers crossed)

As far as I can understand is, is that the Fundacion is split from the ProTour team. Euskaltel will be sole sponsor of the Pro Team, the fundacion will be sponsored by Orbea/Naturgas Energia/Government.

No broken ribs for Samu and will start tomorrow. The pains have been aftershocks and know mostly gone. He's okay and starting tomorrow means nothing is wrong.

NO TOUR in jeopardy Hitch ;) No need to be so depressed now :p :)

Awesome news! Would be tragic if Samu had to drop out of the TDF. Then we'd only have 1 slightly offensive tour contender left (Nibali) + a whole bunch of wheelsuckers.

Wow awesome stuff real champ harmon will have wood!

Yep.

He said Evans has never wheelsucked and that anyone who claims he has has never seen him race.

He then said that the reason Evans usually followed other riders, was because he was maturing as a rider not fast enough to ride on the front.

But when he finally matured - and became a tour de France winner, he showed that he is not a wheelsucker.

So in other words, all through 2006, 07, 08, 09 and 10, even when he was finishing 2nd in the Tour, he was "still maturing" as a rider and was not strong enough to ride on the front.

I was talking about the "Euskadi" bit of "Euskaltel Euskadi" pulling out, or something. Not 100% sure, i just heard something about it, and decided to take a stab in the dark.

And he never rode on the front or in his own in those years?

He was probably just being cautious after blowing up in the 2002 Giro when he was in pink...Yeah, he did ride pretty hard once...when Sastre took off on the Alpe d'Huez in 2008, too late though. Other than that he was in the Levi category, always looking for a wheel to suck.

That's a bit of a myth. You can find several other examples of him going for it in the Tour, even if he's usually at his most cautious in GTs.

lol Wiggins: We were controlling it today anyway because, , green,(long pause) green whatever, green edge didn't really want to control it.

That may have been a sarcastic comment about disrespecting the concept of protecting the jersey....you see....never mind

Could be, it could also be that he actually forgot their name... in Romandie he was talking about his teammate Kosta Whatshisname, or words to that effect.

Someone said that was a joke about how they don't know how to pronounce it so the team just calls him whatsisname, or some such, as a joke.

To be fair it wasn't such a long pause until he got it and he did say BMC were controlling things along with his boys.
