Wiggins looks to have exactly the same form all year long nowadays.

I don't think so. He's been good enough, but he hasn't exactly dominated TTs up until this point.

It makes me sad though. This is looking to become a Tour between Wiggins and Evans. I appreciate what they do but it can't excite me in any way.

Doubt it. That would be bad season planning from Sky. And Sky usually has to get basics like this right.

Yea, they have all those GT overalls to prove it...

Interesting. Ok well he's officially the Tour favorite. I don't think Andy can put enough time into him in the mountains to offset the losses in the ITTs.

Yeah, cos no-one ever screws up and peaks too soon.

Your Sky love is getting a little dull.

He is allowed to say it is less likely than likely.

Broadly speaking, the facts today and this season are in favour of saying they know what they're doing.

He may have peaked too soon, we'll find out later, but its tenable to say he hasn't.

So here's the question: is Wiggles peaking too early?

It's possible. He is not just good here, he is absolutely brilliant, maybe better than he's ever been. The guys who are fantastic in the Dauphiné rarely reach the same level in the Tour.

But it's hard to make any strong predictions now. Wiggins has looked like a new man all season long (kinda like Evans last year), it could be that he's just better physical and psychological than he was before.

It's also probably pretty realistic. He's managed to hold his form all season while every other GC contender has been struggling to find it in the first place.

I think I'll have to resort to cheering for Gesink, unless Samu doesn't have any negative effects from his crash. There's nothing that scares me more :(

Cadel should make a pact with Andy - they both have to launch attacks from the first Tour mountain till the last one to gain time on better TT-ist

By the way I don't cheer for nationality, I cheer for excitement. Not to be found with either Wiggins or Evans.
