Yep, THEY (UK postal) chased it down for him. So if he's got no more team on a multi-col stage, and loses minute on the descent, he's ****.ED, isn't he?

Not really because he'll take at least 4 minutes on everyone in the time trial.

So, what's the situation? I've only been able to follow the action with one eye at work.

Gruppo compatto again or Evans/Nibali still in front of Sky?

No only LL Sanchez of the GC guys ahead now

If you want to believe the gap reached 1 minute inside 5 minutes of the attack for any reason other than the attack was ignored and neither Wiggins or Sky tried to respond, other than letting Eddy roll along behind, that is your business.

Anyone who likes a rider you don't like is unbearable when that rider wins - this forum never changes.

Cmon, look at some of these Wiggo fanboys. They aren't here to discuss the race. They're here to post "Wiggo is the best" and end up on ignore lists.

All this descending talk is hilarious. As if its going to matter.

I don't know if Wiggins is going to win the tour, but if he loses it wont be because of descending.

Stuff that will matter more than descents-
ITT
Climbs
Concentration
Luck
Nutrition
Solar Flares
etc
etc
Remind me again, how did De Gendt just podium the Giro?

Descends have seldom been important lately because of the way the courses were designed. This year, it's either be imaginative or arrive in Paris minutes behind the ITT specialists.

Ok so that means he is in the first group. good.
No he's a bit behind. I think something must have happened to him, or perhaps he was dropped. Looks like he'll make it back though, but Sky are drilling it on the front.

edit: never mind, he's back already.

Relatively impressed with SKY at the moment, seem to be rather solid, although this isn't a major mountain stage is it?

To be fair, I agree. Puts me off even commenting on Wiggo so as not to be associated.

Only those who hate Wiggins. My problem lies with the fans, not the rider. :p

Well most fans are sane. It's the occasional june/july Wiggins-fans that pop up now that are really annoying

yeah and time trialing is a big part of grand tours so if he is that much better than everyone else at tting, he deserves to win.

You know, LaFlorecita, ACF and dwlssonic are kinda "cute" in their fan-boy(girl)-ism.

BavarianRider is actually kinda entertaining (to me at least)

Airstream, jobiwan and christian actually do always have some good input into the conversations apart from their manlove to Frandy Schleck.

Most of Wiggo fans so far are just annoying. Don't know why, maybe they're not really so bad, really and it's just due to the fact that there's so many of them now and they have (some) reason to gloat.

Porte, Froome and Rodgers leading Wiggo, can't see these guys dropping out today. Will be different tomorrow especially if Porte has to work very hard in Joux Plane and Rodgers if the climb is fast. Froome will stick around.

Yes, I agree. Although I wouldn't have mind if there was one more real mountain stage to balance the time trial kms.
