He's right though.

But that's why you have all the flashy buttons at the top of the browser.

He's not forced to read people's opinion you know.

I'd rather participate in a forum like this in which only profanity and adhering to the rules are the only pre-requisites.

I stopped participating in other forums because "objectivity" tends to become whatever a group of friends say (some of whom are moderators). And it all ends up with 10 or 15 senior forum members freely saying whatever they want to say and heavily moderating what everybody else says. Ah hell, I'll say it: the autosports.com forums.

The riders themselves are the first to make up "excuses" regarding illnesses and crashes, so if Froome was seriously affected by the crash I dont think he would have said that he slept well etc.

He's hardly likely when wearing yellow to say "I had a bad nights sleep, I feel poor, please attack me today." now is he?

All I know is that Alberto is going to kick himself in the behind for not having gone with Nibali.

What a tactical mistake! I know he was more interested in sending Froome a message but... to think he could've killed two birds with one stone is going to burn him for a while.

He actually did. He left Froome and Nibali in the dust. He didn't win it, but he won the war :). Winning Dauphene? so what if he couldn't win TDF. That's what matters.

Amazing race. **** Fuente De, this is Giro 2010 level :D I'm really happy that Talansky took it because he had the guts to go for the GC win and not do with 3rd overall.

Nibali has the balls, but not the form yet. He'll be fine at TDF though. He can be close to his Giro 2013 form in the third week.

Contador is a monster. I didn't think I would say this, but he's back at his 2009 self. He almost won the Dauphine with 0 teammates. Amazing!

Don't know about Froome. Could have been the injury, could have been the TUE news, could have been the fact he went all out in stage 2 and totally ****ed his form.

Also, the biggest question I have is: WTF happened to JVDB? Who gave him a pair of balls?

And Tinkof... WTF! WTF! Jesus Christ! Where the heck were they???

Contador didn't know Froome was cooked.

A rather sweeping statement - if you wanna make it more objective why not contribute during the race, instead of after? Peace & Love man.

It's because the stuff during the race often gets so outlandish, that I don't.
Besides, I can't multi-chat and watch the race.
But you are right, some here maintain their love of the sport over the love or dislike of individuals. Peace and love back.

Probably just stumbled into the breakaway by accident, he's like the ultimate form of De Greef and Monfort put together.

Congrats to him though for this great result after his horrible crash/recovery.

If Froome was seriously injured, he would not have started the stage. He is somewhat immature, and relatively inexperienced compared to the likes of Contador. It appears as though he didn't have the will to fight when things didn't go according to plan.

Maybe he is thinking about what the next insulting story about Contador that he can tell the world. Consider him lucky today, that Contador's effort didn't pan out. If Contador made it, it would have been a major blow to his ego and confidence. Looks like, he's crumbling under pressure.

König the lion king getting in form nicely through the week. Today his best effort. Shame there was escape so he doesn't get into top ten.

People doubting wether Froome is seriously injured and that he should not start the stage. Cmon. If you're that well in the GC, you just don't give up when nothing is broken.

And yeah ofcourse he lost time DUE TO THE INJURY. Being a Gesink fan for years I can recognize the sucking after a fall.

Contador didn't know Froome was cooked.

Still, he should've realized that Talansky et al were gaining time up front and that Sky would surely NOT have participated in pulling back the time lost (as far as they were concerned their race was lost) were Froome in good form.

The only one who read the race right was Nibali, and even he ran out of steam in the end. Had he waited for Contador they would've most likely been able to get back to the front group and Alberto would've surely given him the stage win.

Instead, what we have is two confused guys looking at each other, thinking that the other guy is about to crack... that's why Chris had Porte wait for him and Alberto thought Sky were going to get the Skybot train going.

Kind of amateurish if you ask me. Alberto could've tested the waters with a simple attack early on and seen that Froome was cracking.

Congrats to Talansky, VDB, Bardet, Yates et al. for having the balls to attack from the beginning (would be interesting to hear just how that group formed).
Congrats to Contador for having the balls to try and salvage the race from a lost position (though he made a slight tactical error before).
Congrats to the race designers for making a fantastic course for this Dauphiné.

imo his biggest goal was to keep the mental edge he had on Froome. If Froome hadn't been cooked, Bertie's attack could have meant losing time to the Dawg. Which means Froome regains his self confidence.

epic stage
cheered for alberto, at one moment i was sure he will do it
god knows how much energy he left on the road when the breakaway was formed,he must have been closing gaps by himself, looking at his weak team. anyway, congrats to all attackers, one of the best races in the dauphine

congrats nieve/talansky!

Dude, Froome's confidence was lost in Tenerife when he was told Alberto was back to his old form.

If the guy you wiped the floor with in last year's TdF is posting times significantly quicker than yours on the same climbs & same week...
