Dauphine Libere stages with the craziest action in the year and no coverage have become one of the main staples of cycling.

What's crazy is that a classics guy like Wout can out climb Geraint Thomas? What's his excuse this year? At least Froome has a legitimate excuse...injury and old age.

Thomas comes from the track. Remember where was the previous track rider to win the tour one year after his win?

What's even more crazy is Froome had the audacity to throw a hissy fit when Bernal said he'd not sacrifice his chances at victory for Froome if he was 100 percent. I bet ISN wishes they had waited a little longer before signing Froome. They could have gotten him for 50% off from the clearance bin after this race.

Quintana isn't the same rider since his crash in Colombia recently, 10 days without training is enormous at this level, I don't think he can reach his February/March watts in 2/3 weeks.

So Malecki was not allowed to not wear Yellow in Poland, but Pinot doesn't carry it today? The inconsistency of rules in this sport is ridiculous.

And why are Ineos's race numbers grey rather than white? I'm guessing they are slotted behind some sort of gauze in their jerseys (marginal gain over a safety pin?) but does that not break some sort of obscuring of logos rule?

Froome is racing like he's 10 years younger! (at Barloworld)
