It sounds crazy, but then you remember the French GC hopefuls before Pinot/Bardet...

Yeah, so the last winner of a major stage race was Moreau in the 2007 Dauphiné.

It's true what you say but Pinot, Alaphilippe, Bardet and Barguil are not exactly newcomers on the scene anymore. So it's a bit crazy that they have never won one of the races.

Come to think of it, Pinot has never had great success with GC wins. His most prestigious overall win is probably the Tour of the Alps or Critérium International. He’s won Ain multiple times and Languedoc, but that’s about it.

This is getting crazy with all the accidents this year... People are falling all over... Too many races without proper and timely buildup....

Van Aert is a remarkable rider, even though he finally cracked.

Martin is a the end of his rubber band...would be surprised if he isn't dropped.

The post-crash adrenaline must have kicked in for Sivakov...
