The food is a metaphor for Contador's form. You cook food. Contador is eating food, Therefore Contador=Cooked. It's just science

Honestly it could've been anyone out front. Porte could not chase down every move so it just happens to be Valverde and Aru. Froome has attacked at least 10 times this stage and finally cracked Porte and then bridges across to the Contador group and now the Martin/Bardet/Fuglsang group.
