Contador looks cooked
He rode away from Richie and Froome, as they looked at each other on Colombiere. Froome caught up with Contador on the descent again

C'mon guys... i'm only watching now, how is valverde and aru in the front?

Dawg and Richie were only looking at each other, so Bala and Aru did profit from it by attacking early on Colombiere.

It's not that they dropped the others by pure strenght.

No he's ahead of The Artist formerly known as The Porte Era with Froome up the road. Dropped him on the climb, Froome stayed on The Artiste's wheel behind- and Froome then attacked the artiste near the summit and caught Bertie on descent

Porte was vulnerable here.It won't happen in TDF where everybody will defend their GC places and take only calculated risk. The gap is still manageable if Porte doesn't blow up on the last climb.

Feel sorry for Richie here, he's not looking that bad but is going to blow big time

Yea he's not on a bad day I think, he's just not on a good day either though.

And without a team to pace back the 50 attacks he's had to deal with this is exactly what happens.

Another commercial...

I know. I tuned out when the last one started, tuned in 5 minutes later and I saw the screen flicking from cycling back to another commercial

Contador the favourite for the stage now? Froome will drive it all the way up the climb, all he has to do is sit on. Valverde and Aru should get caught.

Porte just got too cute with only worrying about Froome. Can't let that many top riders get clear without a fight.

All is not lost for him yet.

WIth the work Porte is putting in on the flat part, I highly doubt he will be able to maintain the gap on the last climb.

And contador?

Don't know. Looks like he's not able to follow the decisive moves all week.

But i also get the impression he doesn't care really. He looks absent.

Fuglsang/Bardet/Martin are most likely stronger than Contador.

The other thing is Froome KNOWS Porte's weakness on descents. It's not a theory, or something he suspects, he knows it.
