Can't wait to see Froome's form. Same for Aru and Chavito after their injury. Porte must have it in his bag. Wether one likes the course design or not, the fact is that the field is interesting. Plus it shows everyones form just before Tour, nice to have some insights for July.

Tony Martin was a contender for the white jersey and was considered a future GT contender back in 2009. Marginal losses since then, I'm afraid.

The pack should be careful to control the gap here. No major GC contender, but you don't want to give the likes of Fernandez, De Gendt or Sicard 5 free minutes.

Yeah it's like comparing Monte Carlo or Rome masters to the Tour or the Giro. And Tennis probably has a larger following than cycling does (at least in the uk).

Colbrelli stands out as the biggest favourite to me.

I considered Kristoff's chances aswell, but I guess I will put my money on the other Norwegian today (Edvald). Kristoff has not exactly been impressive on hillier stages, lately.
Now, Demaré, on the other hand, could win today if he's in the same shape as in Paris-Nice.

Kristoff is playing down his chances for today. Says he's had a cold for past few days, not feeling great and the parcours are a bit hard for him ordinarily anyway.

Not sure how much I believe that last bit, but we'll see.

I'd go for Bouhanni. He is always in great shape here.

I don't think they can drop him, he is a better climber than Kristoff, Demare and co. He has won stages with a cat 1. in it.

On paper a very good stage, but we could probably use Gilbert and GvA here to make the race really hard. Instead I'm going with Coquard or Nacer.

I think Bouhanni's shape is a bit unknown here. That crash in Yorkshire looked nasty!

I definitely agree with you about his climbing ability though. He's easily one of the best climbers of the current generation of sprinters.

Could still be hard for the sprinters teams to control. We have Colbrelli and Bole, also Gallopin, and will be interesting to see what young Carapaz can do today.

You'll need a super-break of Gilbert, GVA, Lammertink, Benoot, Vakoc and Kwiatkowski for this not to end in a mass sprint.

On the UCI channel on Eurosport player for a while now. Eurosport 2 was long over running with football.

Eurosport seem to make their schedules up as they go along.
