Brilliant strategy from De Gendt on how to keep the yellow jersey: "I have to stay with the front group."

Oh... really?

The climbs today, according to cyclingstage.com, look fairly easy.

Côte de Croix Blanche (3) - 747m - 4.6km á 4.1%
Col de Verrières-en-Forez (2) - 860m - 9.7km á 4.7%
Col de Baracuchet (3) - 1266m - 6.2km á 4.9%
Col de Supeyres (4) - 1365m - 2.9km á 5.6%

The last climb from Arlanc to the plateau, where Novacelles is located, appears to be 8.1km at 3.2%. The summit of that "climb" comes with 24 kms to go.

I'd expect that the sprinters will hang on today.
If it has at least a climb with 1% incline is too much for Kristoff. :D

Gosh, that guy looks like a cow nowadays!

Contador was chilling at the back.
Are we justifying his pre race comments by that? Lets wait and see if he want to give up a good GC position the last 3 days

Bertie better stay in the top 50, so we could at least see him in the TT (he is right at the bottom of the group at 1.09). :D The last rider departs at 15.50 CET and I presume there are 1 minute intervals between all the riders.

Avoiding crashes in the DL, GC be damned. If he doesn't lose time I'm sure he'll try. But no need for physical risks

Ok, then we agree!
