Congratulations to Alexis Vuillermoz for taking the stage win and yellow jersey.

As i wrote in the JV thread. From the stage win perspective van Aert could be a bit disappointed but beyond that i feel that they did an OK job. That is keeping van Aert in green and keeping the GC fight where it needs to be. It would in my opinion be foolish if they would waste more energy today. Just to win the stage. It was up to the other teams to do more work. In regards to chasing down the breakaway. JV leaving the initiative to them was in my opinion a good call.

Froome studied Roglič and beat him in the last 500 meters. I will write that down as Froome winning by a breakaway.

Sending Harper ahead and keeping two or three riders around van Aert and Roglič. This was OK too.

Groenewegen should decide if he needs the training or not. Maybe better to focus on future goals instead.

As for tomorrow JV should leave the initiative to others. Maybe for Rogla to stretch the legs a bit in the last 500m. If it will make sense to do that. Otherwise best to not lose any time and to keep some more stomp for the ITT!
