interesting take from Jack Haig (video probably geo-restricted?!), who expects more from Vingegaard than Roglic:

"I think Primoz here is taking no risks, we might see him not perform at 100% to his capabilities. To be honest, looking at the Jumbo Visma team, I think Jonas is maybe the stronger one, here at the Dauphiné - that may change for the Tour."

Not sure if it's just guesswork, though, or something he noticed while riding with them in the peloton.
Intuitively I wouldn't be surprised if Vingegaard is the strongest climber of the two, when it comes to really high altitude, but we'll see.

What is peoples' opinion of Cattaneo?
Is he a real threat? I don't recall his name being at the top from other races and looking at PCS I'm still puzzled.

I think he could be a surprise if he has worked to peak for this event. He's a decent climber--I think he placed 12th on GC in last year's Vuelta.

Eurosport treating us to Endurance Cars and Superbikes this afternoon.
it's unfortunate, but to be fair, le Mans at least obviously is a bigger thing than the Dauphiné.

Last Sunday the race had an early finish to not collide with the French Open finale. Should have done the same today.

Jumbo should have sent Van Aert in the breakaway instead of having to do all of this chase

I get Le Mans, but at 3:15 we are being given a repeat of Superbikes from 2015! Then at 4:15 its Across the Hageland, which must be the women's event since the men's race appears to have already finished. Surely there was some scope to at least give us the end of the stage.

So every time they show eagles soaring down the valley I hear eagle sounds. Do I imagine it or do the broadcasters play an eagle sound effect. And no, I don't believe camera is picking up live eagle noises.
