Jumbo Visma so strong today, nice stage and GC win. Will be hard to beat them at the Tour.

Solaison is one nasty climb. It's like Col de Romme + 4 km.

O'Connor super impressive once again. As was SK. What luxury to have a GT podium winner as a domestique.

Roglic looked second best today, and maybe 2 kg heavier than he might want to be in the Tour. His TT continues to be his main weapon. Vingegaard...that guy is damn good. I assume at some point in the next 2 years Jumbo will pass the GT torch to him.

As for the rest, eh. I was hoping for an attack at some point on Colombiere but Jumbo just strangled the pack.

I think people overreact a bit to Vingegaard being stronger than Roglic today. It's his first race back after a training period before which he had a resting period.

I think this is all good news for Jumbo, because Kruijswijk was the best he's been in 3 years and Vingegaard is actually looking he can be a legit co contender for the Tour next to Roglic.
I don't think that we are overreacting. But I do agree that it is good news that the squad as a whole is getting better.

I don't see Vingegaard as being stronger than Roglic today. Quite to the contrary, he was the second man in the pecking order and, after Kruijswijk, took command of the situation. Roglic in yellow had no need to attack, but stay on the wheel. That's all.

At any rate, it's great to see Roglic back to firing on all cylinders, with Vingegaard also on form. Perhaps this Tour might be a real fight with Tadej.

Jonas could have destroyed Roglic at any time. If not in the same team. Jonas could have gone on his own, taking 30 or 40 seconds the last 3 km. Roglic would then have been overtaken and left behind by O'Connor. But, Roglic is not in top condition yet, and Jonas probably is.

Vingegaard really shouldnt be in top condition here. He said he didnt train for several weeks (assume right after the Ardennes), and hes usually a bit rusty after a break. He should have one more level come July

Anyways, Jumbo is the only hope, so this is a good sign even though its against a mickey mouse field, lets be totally honest.

How do you see it that way, after yesterday's stage when Roglic struck hard with facile aggression? I think Roglic could have attacked Vingegaard and dropped him when he wanted, but obviously that was not necessary or in team interests.

Well, I have seen another race. Vingegaard had to hold back all the time. At one point, without accelerating, he rode Roglice at two lengths, after which he stopped his effort. Constantly holding back Vingegaard allowed O'Connor to hold out and get even closer..... just to save the suffering yellow jersey

The public demands Roglic and Vingegaard ride the last climb again, this time shirtless with no team associations. Only then will we know who will be good enough for 2nd place at the Tour behind Pog. :D

I think Vingegaards wheelhouse is the >30 minute climbs while Roglic' best wheelhouse are the 10-15 minute stomps.

I didn't see it that way, but Vingegaard was just pressing on as necessity demanded and there was no reason to go any harder. Roglic wasn't on the limit and just needed to get to the line with the GC wrapped up (and Vingegaard for the win). Win-win for the team.
