Possible in his best form otherwise its another sneaky top 15 or 20.Meintjes now the favourite for 8th place at the Tour.

He's riding for Intermarché, there is no reason to doubt he'll be there in great shape.Possible in his best form otherwise its another sneaky top 15 or 20.
Chaves and Guerreiro ended up seventh and ninth on GC. There have been a lot of days to deservedly bash EF this year, today isn't one of them.Padun dead last
You have to hand it to EF, they're on something, but whatever it may be clearly isn't performance enhancing drugs.
Peloton holding hands and finishing 15 minutes ahead of the breakaway.
Meintjes appears to be in his best form, and as he has already shown more than once, his result when in top form is 8th at the Tour.Possible in his best form otherwise its another sneaky top 15 or 20.
You mean it will be hard for them to beat TadejJumbo Visma so strong today, nice stage and GC win. Will be hard to beat them at the Tour.

I don't think that we are overreacting. But I do agree that it is good news that the squad as a whole is getting better.I think people overreact a bit to Vingegaard being stronger than Roglic today. It's his first race back after a training period before which he had a resting period.
I think this is all good news for Jumbo, because Kruijswijk was the best he's been in 3 years and Vingegaard is actually looking he can be a legit co contender for the Tour next to Roglic.
How do you see it that way, after yesterday's stage when Roglic struck hard with facile aggression? I think Roglic could have attacked Vingegaard and dropped him when he wanted, but obviously that was not necessary or in team interests.Jonas could have destroyed Roglic at any time. If not in the same team. Jonas could have gone on his own, taking 30 or 40 seconds the last 3 km. Roglic would then have been overtaken and left behind by O'Connor. But, Roglic is not in top condition yet, and Jonas probably is.
Well, I have seen another race. Vingegaard had to hold back all the time. At one point, without accelerating, he rode Roglice at two lengths, after which he stopped his effort. Constantly holding back Vingegaard allowed O'Connor to hold out and get even closer..... just to save the suffering yellow jerseyI don't see Vingegaard as being stronger than Roglic today. Quite to the contrary, he was the second man in the pecking order and, after Kruijswijk, took command of the situation. Roglic in yellow had no need to attack, but stay on the wheel. That's all.
I think Vingegaards wheelhouse is the >30 minute climbs while Roglic' best wheelhouse are the 10-15 minute stomps. How do you see it that way, after yesterday's stage when Roglic struck hard with facile aggression? I don't think the public will ever demand that climber cyclists go shirtless. The public demands Roglic and Vingegaard ride the last climb again, this time shirtless with no team associations. Only then will we know who will be good enough for 2nd play at the Tour.![]()
I didn't see it that way, but Vingegaard was just pressing on as necessity demanded and there was no reason to go any harder. Roglic wasn't on the limit and just needed to get to the line with the GC wrapped up (and Vingegaard for the win). Win-win for the team.Well, I have seen another race. Could be, but in 2020 Tour Roglic also did long efforts well, despite how it finished.I think Vingegaards wheelhouse is the >30 minute climbs while Roglic' best wheelhouse are the 10-15 minute stomps.
