Oh wtf im beyond stupid.

I checked TV2sport and not X. X was scheduled to broadcast football, but it was apparantly a quite delayed sprint finish today while Sport was showing Dauphine, but from yesterday.

Oh god...

Lucky win for LaPorte - Certain Groenewegen was going to win the sprint but that's life - Anyway, Groenewegen will have his lead out at the TDF.

TBF, I don't even know what flow-tv channel it's being shown on. I just log onto Play, and scroll through the quick-links on the front page.

Maybe Laporte will be the sprinter of choice for Jumbo in the Tour, rather than Van Aert, who has already indicated that he's focused on the Worlds and will take it a bit easier. I don't think he's any slower than Wout.
Why would the Belgian No.2 eschew his green jersey in the hope that Remco fails at the Worlds?

Bennett completely washed. Should be relegated for that. You can't loose with that leadout if you want to be a serious sprinter.

Tour de France participation hopefully out of the question now for Sam. he doesn't deserve a spot.
Honestly, you can bring Haller and Van Poppel because they are workhorses on the flat with classics experience who can play a bodyguard role, but I think that's it for Bennett and the 2023 TdF.

Bora should honestly just take Meeus. Bennett is done, going to HPH apparently. Early retirement.

Also are they really not going to DSQ him, and honestly also Groenewegen for that push on Govekar (even tho you could say it's because of him getting pushed into the barrier cause of Bennetts move)?

Congrats to Burgaudeau for the Combativity Award - easiest 300 Euros he'll ever get.
So Bennet & Groenewegen get in each other's way and Laporte wins. Lots of nasty crashes - hope nothing serious.

The Groenwegen push was a result of Bennett's move.
It was mostly a result of him going faster than Govekar, but not being willing to wait for an actual gap to open up behind Bennett. It was a dangerous move that could have resulted in a big crash, but thankfully it didn't. Sure he was annoyed by Bennett's initial move, but it didin't give him the right to power through the way he did.

I doubt Groenwegen will be relegated or disqualified for his move.

Didn’t look like Groenewegen’s push was due to Bennett, either both should be relegated or none. Groenewegen looked fastest otherwise.

Rider safety strikes again.

Both should be disqualified. Bennett because it's the most DQable deviation this year. Groenewegen for clearly not having learnt enough from the Jakobsen crash.

Agreed. It's these kind of moves that lead to bad crashes, just because it didn't happen today doesn't mean anything. UCI selective rules strike again.

Eagerly awaiting Adam Hansen's polemic on how this is endangering riders

Doesn't look like they're being DQed, honestly like it's going to be a free for all if this is the line, they're still ruling on outcome.

I would have relegated both of them -- both moves were wrong. What's worse is neither Bennett nor Groenewegen looked like they had the turn of speed to benefit from riding like idiots.

I have no idea why Bennett is so bad now. Sprinters' forms come and go like the weather.
