That's what Procyclingstats thinks, but that's not the case. At T1 he was 43s faster than Denz, but the difference in starting times is 1min, so he couldn't have surpassed him already.
I would like to know how they get their data

Now suddenly it‘s 1m17s (crazy gap), maybe the intermediate times are actually made up,

I suppose youre saying this tongue in cheek, but considering his team and their fetishes im actually surprised they let this happen, now that youve mentioned it
Not even really that tongue-in-cheek, he did lose a lot of time together with Ben Turner yesterday, despite dropping off relatively late, it‘s quite unnecessary. But also understandable to save yourself as much as possible yesterday.

It seems the Dawg has managed to follow Oliver Naesen, ruthlessly leaving his teammate Mason Hollyman behind.

Unironically one of his better post-crash time trials.
