Surely Romo could win the whole dapughine from here??

That'll be a bit hard, considering he's not in the race. ;)

Ivan Romeo, the guy who just won the stage:

So, sometimes when you miss-spell a rider's name... you turn him into a completely different rider.

On the topic of race broadcasts, does anyone know if there is footage available of the famous Dauphine TT in 2004 (stage 4). I have a vague recollection at the time of someone on an old angelfire board raging that it wasn't televised but don't know if I've just imagined the entire thing and it's out there somewhere.

I think one can only find short highlights.

Carols might know, she's been taping races going back decades back when we still had VHS tapes.

Romeo only lost 40s to Evenepoel in the Romandie ITT which was also 17km. Should be able to hold on to the yellow jersey after the ITT at least.
The bump in the middle was a lot less steep, he did not go in the break the day before iirc and Evenepoel was not peaking towards TDF yet. Those are 3 reasons why i would not automatically assume the gap to be similar. I'm not saying it can't be (maybe the jersey will give him wings) but the situation now is clearly different. Evenepoel isn't even the only one on this TT that could potentially bump him down.

EF Easy Post, No Education got race plan from Del Toro! 3 down 5to go! 3 days of clown car. Maybe they are saving their strength to win TT..
Don't understand why they went all hands to the front and gave up chase when gap was at a minute or less.
Great move for Romeo and better still to time his counter and jump in between riders attacking MVP..Lipowitz also excellent timing to get the feel for when to roll away from MVP. Good to see Movistar ..Romeo looks super happy in yellow. Breakaway did everything right, multiple beat downs on Mathieu was only logical thing to do, he would have likely beat all in a sprint from the small group.
Pogacar on TT bike doing warm down, looks like he might use it for the entire race instead of switching for small climb, will be curious to see what Remco does ..

Wow, we have that power? I'm gonna try and miss spell Pogacar's name in the following sentence and we can put this theory to the test tomorrow: I hope John Candy will not reach the same level as he did in last year's TDF.

Now all we can do is wait and see what happens. Fingers crossed.

So now we even have the power of resurrection?

Mathieu's last chance to wear the Yellow came and went. He looked a little disappointed donning the Sprinter's jersey.

it's not unusual for Healy to just need a couple of days to get into a race. In Itzulia he looked pretty bad the first stages as well
Healy has positioned himself perfectly for days of dramatic improvements!!
Guy is the ultimate in sandbaggers!!!
Team with lots of big talk, cycling websites selling the idea that Healy was a real possibility. He fell another 5 positions from 129th yesterday after riding like a child in the park chasing his mother, not chasing Pogacar. Healy now is 134th out of 151 remaining riders at 16 minutes and 44 seconds back, rather than Healy warming up he needs to start on fire. And not enough bad things can be said about EF not being represented in the break!! First 70 riders are within 2 minutes or less. Ben Healy is ten minutes behind such renowned climbing great like Nils Politt!!
EF should ask promoter to use podium, PA system and microphone, call EF team director up on stage and fire him!! That would be the best TDF preparation!!
