Stage has not been a thriller so far. It doesn't look like anyone is going to challenge Brajkovic for the GC.

Astana looks so strong. 5 of them here, one in the breakaway. Nice. I hope AC really wants to win this stage.

Van den Broek (lOTTO) off the front ?
No, that was Roelandts, he was in the breakaway, dropped, and got caught/passed by the peloton. You can regonize Roelandts by his long hair and the little belgian flag at his arms (ex-belgian champ)

Vandenbroeck is still in the group

It looks for all the world like a big Tour stage. Just imagine if Shack had Kloden Leipheimer and old boy wonder were there.
What a drag.

Astana's medicine cabinet seems to be fully stocked, too.

With all the respect, but even in the Giro nothing would have happened on the Glandon, with a downhill and +-40km still to go till Alpe

Is it just me or is this the exact type of racing we'll see for an entire tour, everybody to bored to attack. Nobody really does anything. I really hope Liquigas and Astana are going to ride the way they rode the giro and at least make it exciting, but I guess this is a false hope

I know, except for the fact that we would be able to guarantee which teams (other than Liquigas) would be able to pull the peloton apart.
IMO makes a difference.

..........heck, the Gavia stage was just like this. 25kms but under 6%.
Give me gradient over length every day of the week......

I'm guessing the breakaways will be reeled in within the frist 2km of the Alpe. Contador and Brako doing the work.

I guess I can finish watching argentina-nigeria without missing much. (Whenever I think a bike race is boring, I console myself with the thought that it could be much worse: I could be a fan of car racing. Le Mans is live in it's entirety on one of the eurosport channels today, 24 full hours of cars going round in circles.)

Close up of Brajkovic going uphill. He looks like a mannequin.
Doesn't appear to be breathing..................at all.
Spooky.

Alberto does not like seeing another rider in Yellow.
"Alberto should be in Yellow" he thinks....

I expect Alberto to beat Jani on the Alpe by 2 minutes.
No more, no less.
