Lundani!

Was Wright and Zambanini riding against each other?
Bahrain needs UCI points so I wouldn't be surprised if all of the riders here are told to sprint for whatever result they can achieve.

Zambanini taking the baton from Tiberi in the amazing race.

That's possible, but still it looked like they could both have finished in the top 3 and maybe even won the stage, if they had played it smarter.

In interview Lund is so happy about his win, have to be happy for him!

He also said the riders love the Croatian race and the scenery, but unfortunately there was no time to look around today because they had to concentrate on the road.

No, just that... there seems to be missing some vowels.

It's an island. Maybe Croatia's largest. However, the island of Cres is exactly the same size so who can tell?

That doesn't explain the missing vowels. I am sure that commentators will invent some, though, like they did with Svrcek who for some reason became Svacek at the U23 worlds.

I'm glad you pointed that out...

Maybe you just have to make a sound like something's stuck in your throat...
I think it all depends on how you pronounce the r, in Czech, for example, we have a couple of ways of prounouncing r, one of them includes an accent mark.

In Croatian or Czech the r in krk is prounounced in a way that simply doesn't exist in American English language at least, so that's probably why English speakers struggle with the lack of vowels.

Now somebody please explain Polish and Finnish to me - one language has too many consonants while the other has too many vowels!

Well.... once upon a time, there was a big war between the Polish and the Finnish over the control of letters. Finally, the two navies met in the middle of the Baltic Sea.
The battle raged for days, and nobody could get an upper hand, then - when it seemed North Europe would descend into linguistic madness, a truce was proposed.
Finland would get the vowels, while Poland would get the consonants.

I don't think this is true.

How about Welsh? :D

I don't even understand what's going on in the Welsh language...

It can't have been that long ago, if Meis Poland was alive at the time.

I'm sure most of us will be tuning in to dell'Emilia today instead of watching the CRO race...

I might watch some highlights of today's stage later, but for now see you all back here tomorrow for the final stage!
