Peacock is notorious for not listing upcoming races makes me crazy!Hopefully it'll be one of those last minute additions like usual with Peacock...
After watching races and traveling the world through VPN (or Tiz) and listening to different commentators it's especially grating to listen to Bob Roll now... I don't mind if commentators explain things like the viewers are noobs to cycling, but Roll just keeps on explaining the same things over and over like the viewers are thick. It's exasperating.P-N is now showing up on the Peacock list.
My pet peeve also, just stick to kms, please! My pet peeve is when they translate km to miles.
All I can say about this is I'm still only getting last year's stage 5...replay is up now, you have to search for it. search "stage 5" and itll come up (be careful because last years stage 5 also comes up)
I wish NBC would just kill their ASO contract and have it picked up by Max.All I can say about this is I'm still only getting last year's stage 5...
Yank TV broadcasters just don't care about cycling, and its tiny viewership, at all.
I couldn't find the Grand Prix Denain on VPN this morning so I watched a replay on Max. I was astounded how poor (or perhaps the better word is irrelevant) the commenting was by Hannah ____ and the other announcer. The decisive split of what had been a large front group into several smaller groups, including the final select group, took place on a cobbled sector with about 45 km to go. It was a long sector and we could see from the heli the selection happening gradually as the big group fractured. Yet throughout that entire time the two commentators said not a single word about what was happening in the race--instead having a long conversation about the heights of different riders. They didn't even mention that there were now separate smaller groups until 5 km later!! How do you folks stomach that kind of thing?
Why does that matter when it comes to the announcing? And it was a nice dynamic race with selection from far out. Or do you mean that's why I couldn't find it on VPN? It was listed on France3 but broadcast link didn't work.It was only a 1.Pro race
You asked how do I stomach it? My stomach can handle crap commentary on 1.Pro, but it is more sensitive for a .WTWhy does that matter when it comes to the announcing? Most excellent, looks like I'll be traveling to Australia via VPN for RVV.For those with a VPN and will be watching the Ronde, you can get an English language feed from Australia's SBS.
