It is a sad story. I liked his maveric ways and don't see growing that stuff as very serious.
He broke the law though and it weakens his cred sadly...and he has made some serious allegations against certain names in uk cycling. I would like to know who informed police of his activities in case ANY cyclist or associate of a cyclist or persons who were approached by others who were in anyway contracted by anyone else who has any contact with any cyclist or friend of that cyclist were involved just in case he has been done in by people who were the focus of his allegations over the years. If he made no doping allegations, would he have been caught?

Exactly. When I have a theory, I specifically say: Theory: <insert theory here>

I think it's ironic that the person (D Webster) tipping or trying to tip-off alleged drug-using professional cyclists (eg Sutton) gets pinged for drug use via a tip-off.

Just like it was ironic that Bassons got pinged for missing a doping control.

And that other doping tip off dude got crushed to death between a car and a closed garage door.

Vocal anti-doping advocates are getting slapped around.

Kinda helpful for omerta, don't you think?

Allow Tondo. That's some kgb **** going through your head there. They rig a garage door to crush him because he broke up an amateur ring? Or was he wearing a wire in training sessions with valverde?

The plants do smell, in fact they reek, in particularly the newer, ultra-strong strains that are very high in Htc. Other giveaways are the high use of electricity for the lights and the various hydroponic (?) gubbins.
My friend started working for the police yesterday. Sounds like if we can track your cn account to an address he'd be in for a succesful first week on the job ;)

Why should something that increases the risk of psychosis that is not currently legal be made legal?

I'm the first person to agree bad things can happen to individuals using cannibus. But, your sweeping generalization is wrong.

This is a particularly annoying argument because it suggests this is always the case with every user. And then there's the unavoidable fact there are broad classes of psychiatric drugs with severe side effects including death by suicide that are prescribed anyway.

Listening to you Sky fanboys go on and on increases the risk of psychosis, but nobody is trying to make that illegal.

Cheers Darryl! Good luck. While I no longer partake, with my exposure to people with health issues that are improved through cannabis use, I fully support its legalization.

Any person who drinks (a depressant) and thinks the use of marijuana is worse subscribes to an idiotic proposition.

Regardless of your views on Cannabis regulation, it is ironic that someone so vocal about the breaking of sporting laws, doesn't appear so concerned about criminal laws. The peloton is full of riders who don't believe certain rules and regulations need to apply to them, this is no different.

Regardless of your views on Cannabis regulation, it is ironic that someone who supported an obvious doping freak for 14 years appears so concerned about someone using Cannabis for medical purposes. This forum was full of sycophants who didn't believe certain rules and regulations applied to their hero, but now want to recriminate someone who is critical of their cherished fraud.

what about athletes caught drinking and driving? Breaking the speed limit? Sexual abuse teenagers? We have so many examples of brilliant athletes that never cheated in their sports that still ended up a criminal. Or a drooling drug abusing idiot. Its not ironic. Its life.

The fact that people think that a recreational drug made for relaxing are going to make a difference for Darryls credibility in cycling he did decades ago really needs to put some perspective in their life.

Pathetic, rather than look at the problems with Cannobis you just choose some cheap skyfanboy jibe.

Hi peeps. Few facts here. Only 9 plants were in flower. The remainder were small in grow stage. Any one who gardens will know you sow more than you require because you cannot be certain they will be succesful.
I have a very long and well documented, with my GP, Cannabis use to control my extreme anxiety, depressions and suicidal tendancies.
I refuse to use presciption anti depressents due to having on two occasions arrived at A@ E unconsious and close to death following over doses of presciption meds. Many anti depressents actual carry a increased risk of suicide warning in there guidance notes.
There is NO such risk with Cannabis.
My charge is purely for cultivation , NOT supply or intention to supply.
The POTENTIAL value figures given are, as is common , grosely exaggerated and If you use the home office,s own guidlines on quantity produced per plant ( 40grams) you reach a figure of much less than half and thats if EVERY plant was flowered. That there were two address,s was a personal circumstances situation, closing one while opening another ..a transition situation.
This " bust" occured last June, I have co operated from the onset. Despite that I spent 9 months on bail without charge contrary to home office guidlines that state 6 months should be the maxiumum without charge.
My stance on medicinal Cannabis has NO bearing whatsoever on my critisism of PED,s. They are entirely differant topics.
I do not expect everyone to understand or even to try to understand , to those that do, thank you .

I can understand the Clinic interest in your circumstances, but frankly, it ain't relevant to this forum. Sorry it's been dragged up, frankly.

Best of luck to you. Depression's a b1tch.

They rig a garage door in somewhere that wasn't in his house (or even in the same Comunidad, being at the opposite end of the country) where it will be in full view of witnesses, when the guy is about to go training on a remote, windy mountain road and it would be much easier, if there really were to be a conspiracy, to have an "accident" while training on those roads since, you know, riders being hit by cars while out training is kind of the most common cause of premature deaths or debilitating injuries among cycling pros?

Also, while I've always ridiculed the "Tondó was murdered!" theories, there's one more thing that I'd never actually thought up before. I pointed out that Beñat Intxausti was there with him and would have been an eyewitness to everything that happened. But the garage door getting stuck when both are at the garage means they only actually would have had a 50% chance of Tondó being the one that got out to check it.

I wondered how long it would take someone to link this to Armstrong.

yep correct, having used to be an electricity meter reader in the past this is exactly right. A good proportion of tip offs are via meter readers, suspicious readings, bypassed meters when checking etc...or maybe his 'enemies' tipped the authorities off!?!;)

This is how they found out about the industrial operation in the house next to my parents. The $600K house was ruined by the humidity.

Nah - I disagree. Last time I was in the Oscar Pistorius thread it was more about PED's and less about other events. The original topic of this thread is current news about DW, not DW and PEDs. Are we concerned because of side discussions?

No, I recognized your inherent link to Armstrong. "When you lie down with dogs" as they say...

I also note that you failed to respond to the substantial point of the post which is your incredible double hypocrisy.
