Attacked again to bring back Trentin.

Destroyed Van Aert in the sprint. Well technically not a sprint. He gapped Van Aert.

Little bit. But if you have to sit down with a few s of sprinting to go you've gone too early.

Not to say he would've won otherwise, but it if Pidcock was less strong it could easily make the difference between winning and not winning.

Pidcock was the strongest each time on the climbs. If it had been a flat sprint things could have looked different.

Wow Pidcock...he is fast! Stupid decision by Trentin there to leadout the sprint. Van Aert very strong. He wins a lot but he also loses a lot. Shades of prime Sagan. Although the two riders with him surprisingly did a lot of work today.

Pidcock looked completely on the limit a couple of times on the climbs. He was on the verge of being dropped. Amazing how he found the strength to go on the attack with van Aert and then win the sprint. Chapeau!
