White - Gesink
Green - Ale-jet
KOM- VDB2
TEAM - Garmin

But it´s a race in 2 Andy and Contador for 1-2 and a Gesink, Evans, Sammy and VDB2 for 3rd.

Unless this happens which would be great

as we enter stage 12 Evans has 2 - 3 minutes on the other GC guys ( everyone else will rest until now, Evans knows he much be ahead so he goes with Gilbert as much as he can - same idea as last year minus the elbow)

in the TTT Andy drops a chain and they change to a road bike as which happen at the Suisse - he finishes 2 minutes behind most other GC guys.

Contador is tired and only riding at 90% so saves energy

VDB2 has a really crap TTT so he out but then goes for the mountains points and to drag back time ie 2009

Gesink is strong and had a great team he decides he can win the lot so save energy is the next best placed GC guy behind Evans

stage 12 starts

Evans
Gesink 2.45
Contador 3.13
Sammy 3.45
Andy 3.47

If this happens we would have a race - be fireworks and solders down all over the shop - it would set the tour up with each person having a chance - Moutains guys must go hard and early to get back time, Gesink must ride smart pick his battles, Evans must hang-on turn himself inside out.

Be great to watch

Probaly be Contador and Andy 3 minutes ahead and be boring as feck - but it is the big dance so I be watching

KOM- CONTADOR
WHITE- GESINK
GREEN- CAVENDISH

Hoping for:

- Goss to play a large role both in stages and the green jersey, probably unlikely due to Cav.
- One of the Radioshack guys to ride top 6, unlikely.
- Andy repeatedly attacking but unable to shake Contador.
- Greipel and Galimzyanov to both get a stage.
- One of the bookie favorites will not ride top 10, my guess is Basso, he seems out-of-form with his crash still bothering him.
- Voeckler to try for several jerseys and stage wins.

Riders have established nicknames. Hitch you come up with a new one every week for some rider. Then all the new forumists think its cool to follow suite. It ain't. Oh and dude, Andy Schleck! Not Andrew. An Andy is never referred to as Andrew. It is wrong. Always has been. I looked at a great deal of the top 10 lists here and saw more than enough names listed of which I had to guess at whom they referred to. Please for the love of all that is sacred, stop changing the riders names on whim.

Well said! My sentiments exactly.

I found it difficult to figure out if this thread is serious or not, mainly due to all those self-invented nicknames. And honestly don't see a reason for nicknaming riders with easy spelled/short last names.

-Contador to not top 10. yes, I do think he is human and that doing the Giro will sap him of his strength though he'll take a stage.
-Ale-Jet will win the Green Jersey on day one by getting a decent margin on cav from day 1.
-Gesink will have a real break out tour.
-I think Schleck will find a way to f*** it up.
-Cadel will take overall honours.

Just curious ACF, not trying to judge, but is that your actual belief (I mean cadel winning) or what you want?

I just can't see him winning :p

I can still not for the life of me separate the two.

All Bertie needs to do is follow his wheel on the big 4 MTFs, and avoid losing stupid time on any of the other stages with uphill or descent finish. Then he gains 1-2 minutes in the ITT.

At the moment I'm tipping Contador because the man is difficult to go against, but with little confidence in him being superior to Andy.
