Hey all,

In case you haven't seen, the eagles just made it through some pretty rough weather. They are all fine thank goodness!

I found a pretty neat site that allows you to sign up for free alerts when the eagles are doing something exciting. The site also has all kinds of video from everything leading up until now. You can check it out at Decorah Eagle Cam 2011.

The eaglets can get around the nest pretty good now. I hope they don't wander to the edge of the nest and fall over.

On Thursday I saw them left alone several times.

Yes, they seem to have erected a sort of containment wall since the last time I checked in on them.

It looks like sun on them today! The eaglets sure look round...one was preening while the others were napping. Mom or Dad was keeping a lookout.

I am amazed how much the eaglets have grown! Feathers and all! They look pretty happy in the nest today....not much action except eating.

Bald eagles attack post office at Alaska port

A pair of bald eagles nesting near the Post Office in Dutch Harbor, Alaska, has taken to dive-bombing customers, in one case drawing blood, authorities said on Tuesday.

The eagles are raising newly hatched chicks for the second consecutive year in a nest on a bluff by the post office.

And for the second consecutive year, they have been trying to chase off people -- apparently unaware that the Postal Service uses a stylized eagle as its logo.

There is not much that residents can do about overly bold bald eagles other than to post warning signs, take steps to avoid the fierce birds and wear hats, Woods said.

Wow the kids are really active as a storm blows in rocking their 1000lb nest. Mom comes flying in to protect. Just awesome
