Hey all,

In case you haven't seen, the eagles just made it through some pretty rough weather. They are all fine thank goodness!

I found a pretty neat site that allows you to sign up for free alerts when the eagles are doing something exciting. The site also has all kinds of video from everything leading up until now. You can check it out at Decorah Eagle Cam 2011.:)

This is from Raptor Resource Project concerning donations

Raptor Resource Project
We are going to stop taking donations after 10:00 PM CST. We appreciate all of the support but, as Bob puts it, "We have enough money for the eaglecam and our other work, and I feel bad taking more."

Bob must be some kind of saint.

A big thanks to BroDeal for putting this link up! I've been watching this little family ever since, and sometimes 3 and 4 times a day. Can't get enough of these guys. Truly amazing vantage point.

Bald eagles attack post office at Alaska port

A pair of bald eagles nesting near the Post Office in Dutch Harbor, Alaska, has taken to dive-bombing customers, in one case drawing blood, authorities said on Tuesday.

The eagles are raising newly hatched chicks for the second consecutive year in a nest on a bluff by the post office.

And for the second consecutive year, they have been trying to chase off people -- apparently unaware that the Postal Service uses a stylized eagle as its logo.

There is not much that residents can do about overly bold bald eagles other than to post warning signs, take steps to avoid the fierce birds and wear hats, Woods said.

I've been watching this stream a few times a day, ever since it was posted here. Truly amazing! Thanks for posting!
