Obviously there will be a heavy mix of dopers and clean riders in the peloton on Saturday. Does this mean that the dopers are "clean" because they joined in the protest? Or that the clean riders doped? I'd hate to be a clean rider and painted with the same brush as the pack of dopers.
Here's hoping for an attack off the front.
Yeah, **** off Torri!JRTinMA said:It seems the rider do not like generalizations.

(I would have done LOL except I have beeninformed it is uncool.)
to ensure that the protest is successful - the peloton should use the same people for the last Italian protest....

They all need to grow up. Got a a problem with torri then clean your act up and prove him wrong. CONI have done more than anyone to combat doping, at least they dont sit on their hands and pretend theres no problem.

Roland Rat said:Well, apparently they are not united and it will probably all get a bit Tour '98.
As much as I like Gilbert as a rider, maybe they should think more about protesting those giving cycling its reputation than those speaking out about it. If they don't like being lumped in with the dopers, then refuse to race with them. But no, it's much easier like this, isn't it Phil.
Ive got some meat id bring across the border for her.scribe said:I'd like to protest the penalty inflicted on basso's sister.
thehog said:The misconception about the 98 Tour protests wasn't that the riders were saying we don't dope. They were protesting to the UCI saying "you allow us to dope, you want us to dope and now the police target us". The wanted to stop the police raids on riders not to say they didn't dope.
auscyclefan94 said:Probably because cycling is cleaner than it use to be. How much cleaner is the real question?
Roland Rat said:Yeah, I meant that it'll probably take a similar path, i.e. some "protesting", some ride off into the distance and everyone else looking at each-other wondering what they're supposed to do.
