All they have to do is see who goes ahead and starts on time. Those are obviously the dopers.

The riders should begin their protest by jumping out of hotel windows.

Chapeau.

(I would have done LOL except I have beeninformed it is uncool.)

to ensure that the protest is successful - the peloton should use the same people for the last Italian protest....

So when someone says they are all doping they get upset (even though saying something like "you are all at it" is a very throw away comment), but when mcquad comes out with crap like cycling is cleaner than ever nobody says a word..

They all need to grow up. Got a a problem with torri then clean your act up and prove him wrong. CONI have done more than anyone to combat doping, at least they dont sit on their hands and pretend theres no problem.

You would think if they were protesting that they were clean that they would start 10 minutes earlier?

If the whole pelaton think so badly about the parinoid attitude of some of these people who beleive they are above the law of pricacy then do whatever they think is needed to bring it to attention of the lawmakers and have the peacefull protest.
At least it will give some more forum on this site if nothintg else. Will they do it sitting on their bikes or do it properly and sit in the road??

On a more serious note, what is "uniting" supposed to solve?

Obviously there will be a heavy mix of dopers and clean riders in the peloton on Saturday. Does this mean that the dopers are "clean" because they joined in the protest? Or that the clean riders doped? I'd hate to be a clean rider and painted with the same brush as the pack of dopers.

Here's hoping for an attack off the front.

Well, apparently they are not united and it will probably all get a bit Tour '98.

As much as I like Gilbert as a rider, maybe they should think more about protesting those giving cycling its reputation than those speaking out about it. If they don't like being lumped in with the dopers, then refuse to race with them. But no, it's much easier like this, isn't it Phil.

 Probably because cycling is cleaner than it use to be. How much cleaner is the real question?

That delay will give them time for a snack. I suggest steak and everything sandwiches.

They better not get the meat from spain because their is a 1 in 100,000 chance that 5 picograms of clenbuterol and platiciser levels 8x over the limit might somehow find itself in someone's sample.

The misconception about the 98 Tour protests wasn't that the riders were saying we don't dope. They were protesting to the UCI saying "you allow us to dope, you want us to dope and now the police target us". The wanted to stop the police raids on riders not to say they didn't dope.

Yeah, I meant that it'll probably take a similar path, i.e. some "protesting", some ride off into the distance and everyone else looking at each-other wondering what they're supposed to do.

Could make for some exciting racing if a few teams end up with a 10 minute head start.:)
