Amusing comments. And my friends think I'm cynical.

The riders have thought they had the right to dope, or do whatever they want with their bodies, going back over a half-century. Just because true racing fans have had it and even they mock the sport along with the masses isn't going to change that. Until the percentage - be it 10% or 35% - that truly are always clean speak out against not just general doping, but those that obviously dope, the omerta will remain in place with comments like those from Gilbert and others.

As an aside, please cut and paste sections of Tweets. When you just provide links to Twitter sections, those of us not following will only see the most recent Tweet.

As the peloton rides up the first hill they should all remove their sunglasses and let the tifosi look into their eyes and they'll be able to see that they aren't dopers. Look everyone, we're just cyclists who get tested a lot and ride with our hearts (and a little doping). Look into our eyes and believe, believe in miracles.

Oh look, Pinotti's against the protest. Now I feel a little better.

Why would anyone want to stage a mass protest, knowing full well many dopers will inevitably take part in it? You don't need to answer that.

lol.. some people (including cyclists) believe in cycling...
some people know that only a few amount of then (less than 2 percent (much lesser)) are using something that makes them better than what they are (CERA EPO etc and not 0.000000005g of clen in a rest day without clen in the previous day and with less in the next one)

c&cfan, you do realize that .000000005 is 400 Times Greater than .0000000000125?

400 Times Greater!

And Alberto still would have failed at .00000000125.....

Bang Bang, Moo Moo.

What evidence do you have to suggest that less than 2 percent of the ProTour riders are blood doping? That would be less than 100, which I find difficult to comprehend given that 1) There are still positive tests and 2) How easy it is to avoid positive tests.

Eze Mosquera, just a bad apple eh? Vincenzo is just a 10-15% better natural talent, that's how he won the Vuelta.
