They admit to not filming him up every climb, so the climbs they don't film him he may well be hanging onto cars.

PR fluff.

Missing the point entirely. The object of the filming is not to prove that he is not hanging onto cars. The object is to prevent people coming up with stupid fabricated stories.

Nobody knows (except them) which climbs are filmed and which are not, so making up a story is then risky when you might be shown to be a total liar.

Yes, they are trying to nullify claims that Cav is holding onto cars, perish the thought he would cheat!

Sticky bottles, fake mechanicals, drafting....holding onto cars....never!

No. If Cav is not holding on to cars no need to film him. If someone claims it they need evidence rather than their own sighting of it. Heck Quintana was caught hanging onto the mavic moto and nothing was done.

DDD are imo spinning to cover something!

Yep. Still missing the point. The filming is in response to people making stupid, unsubstantiated claims already. Though I don't see why they're bothered because, of course, unsubstantiated claims are never listened to, are they? Especially in the clinic

we differ in our opinion.

DDD are the ones who brought forth the information that they were filming Cav. Therefore they are pushing the agenda. If they said nothing and waited till an accusation came about Cav and produced the filmic evidence that he wasn't then i could see the point. But nope.

Disappointed Cav left for Rio. Olympics medals are naff compared to winning on Champs D'Elysse.

It initially seems weird to think that DD have such few points, but then when you think about it, apart from the Tour, they've done practically nothing. Top 10 in the Giro, 5th at PR, pretty successful Tour of Qatar (not that anyone cares about that). They've had very very limited success apart from that, barring a couple of Cummings breaks.

Anyway, if they're as Tour focused as their results suggest, they're guaranteed a wildcard for the Tour with Cav on the team while EBH should be enough to get one for most of the spring classics

Agreed. Pro Conti would probably be good for them, as they don't really have the depth to cover three GT's and the whole WT calendar. As you said, they will get a Tour invite, along with most classics and Paris-Nice, Dauphine, Suisse if they want it. A second GT invite wouldn't be out of the question either (probably Vuelta).

They will also be able to send one very strong team to the Tour without having to worry about at least one of the Giro/Vuelta.

A squad that contains most of:

Sivtsov
Anton
Fraile
Kudus
Pauwels
Cummings
Cavendish
Eisel
Renshaw

Is a very solid TDF team, with most bases covered.

With Oliver Cookson, Roger Hammond (ex-Discovery/T-mobile) and Rolf Aldag (ex-T-mobile/QSPS) in the ranks as a DSs, I'm expecting a lot from this team.

Cav for a hattrick, at least.

But I doubt that'll be all.

Wins a stage, new thread. Welcome to TdF where the spotlight is he brightest.
Agreed. The Clinic has got to the point of caricaturising itself.
The Clinic has?
I'd say cycling has.
Such a blatant conflict of interest between police and policed, and the press and fans just collectively ignore it.
But hey, if you like to be taken for a ride...

You are becoming a caricature of yourself - There is no reason to open a thread about Dimension Data - There are plenty of places on the internet where you can continue to discuss conspiracy theories, tenuous links, etc, etc, etc.

Who cares if Cookson's son is a DS - Many aspects of life revolve around networking, especially finding employment - You seem to live in a world where you live inside a plastic bubble which is cocooned from the evils of life.

Huh? Even fellow riders have accused Cavendish of holding on to cars in the past.

Cavendish set to win the world's today.
Explains why Cookson is reluctant to call the world's a fiasco.
Gonna be a big day for his son.

Cav sure is. Looks like another amazing recovery from sickness by a Brit. Would be nice to know if he had any TUEs. We'll never know now though.
