the sceptic said:Its pretty hillarious that noone ever tests positive in football. They should at least have some ukrainians test positive once in a while to make it look a bit more real.
But at least talent is still the most important thing I would guess. Not like cycling where nobodies can become the best in the world.

I've duplicated the spreadsheet. This is the uneditable master list: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet...al9ZaWE3amdKLWJLVEFpY1djd0E&usp=sharing#gid=0
And here's the one anybody can edit (send me a PM or post here if you add something. so I can update the master list):

Those of us who are old enough will also remember the worlds top player testing positive at the world cup finals
the sceptic said:so home field advantage in football is really just doping advantage? easier to "prepare" for the games I would guess.
sniper said:indeed i've always thought this to be the case.
for some teams the difference in stamina is striking between a home game and an away game.
of course other factors also play a role (the journey of course), but i think having your own equipment and set-up at hand really is what makes home advantage a home advantage.
It's a matter of logistics. You simply can't bring along 15 centrifuges to every away-game.

take back my claims on home advantage after last night's bayern performance against city.sniper said:of course there's a whole series of (some more, some less tangible) factors one might look at when assessing what 'home advantage' really entails, but i think the ease of lastminute ped-administration might well be one such factor, especially in this day and age.
