Wada has gone downhill since Pound left.

"Relations with WADA have deteriorated significantly and the lack of help and support from WADA against a background of constant media criticism of its sports 'partners' and the consequent breakdown of trust need to be addressed as a priority," the Italian, who is President of the International Tennis Federation, wrote in a letter to Rogge.
.
.
Fahey replaced former IOC vice-president Richard Pound, who was also critical of the UCI during his time in charge.

This quote by Bitti, was clearly a threat to get a wishy washy WADA director installed, or else. This grenade lobbed at WADA by Bitti, was a few months before the next election for the new head of WADA.

Fahey replaced Pound, now Howman has replaced Fahey. I suspect he was chosen, because he would be the lapdog that he is. Corruption in sport is getting worse, not better.

lovely richard sadlier quote
"The money is there; the expertise is there and for you to put forward an argument to say professional football is clean, you would have to say, 'Well, there's something inherently decent about the people in professional football that is absent from other sports.' And no one in the world thinks that there's inherent decency in professional football." - See more at: http://www.independent.ie/sport/inh...f-them-all-30409273.html#sthash.K35c8iGx.dpuf

I am not a soccer fan, but I watch the WC for the spectacle. But even I can tell there is a massive difference in level between Robben and just about anyone else. He. does. not. get. tired. period. They should put him on a bike, if he could climb, he'd be keeping up with Froome lol!

If you think Robben is bad, his former teammate at Real Madrid, Cannavaro, was unbelievable in 2006. I mean this guy was 5' 9" and could jump like a gazelle. He was such a good responder, he could sprint at the end of 2 hours of soccer as he did at the end of the semi-final against Germany. He proves the point that drugs in soccer work as Italy scored a spectacular goal as a result of his intervention.

Finding athletes between 5' 5" and 5' 11" is key to spectacular returns in soccer for a doping program. Barcelona meet that criteria in nearly every position for example.

laugh or cry?
FIFA praising its own antidoping policy.
doping specialist Soergel putting it in the right context

Care to provide a rough translation?

777 test taken before the world cup, 232 during the world cup so far and all negative, so the FIFA praises their anti-doping-program.

Sörgel says there were no unannounced test between the games, which allows teams to use EPO in low doses. Furthermore, the FIFA doesn't have an external control program and thus, their program is useless. And he doubts that behind the scenes, everything is done according to rules (which i interpret as reference to the known corruption).

Sadlier is a very good football pundit. He speaks a lot of sense.

He has spoken about his experiences at Millwall before where he said he was giving substances and wasn't told what they were. He said he felt stronger and fitter on the pitch and was later told by someone that what he was taking was actually banned.

Although Germany won in a laugher today, the possession, and shots on goal were about even.

Brazil really has a terrible defense. I suspect if Brazil weren't missing 2 key players, the match would have been much closer.

I predict that Germany will come down to earth in the final, and the score will be close, regardless of who they play.

Just goes to show football is all about skill, positioning, football intelligence, organization and teamwork.

Just goes to show that a match is one team vs the other and judging fitness based on how a team performs is silly.

Doping in football, sure. But saying the winning team is more fit is bull****. The team that appears more fit is less tired because they use less energy.

Yah,also massively about what programme ur on. The bayern 'medical trainer' has been at that 30 years. Ever played 5-a-side? Whoever's the fittest has biggest impact.

Chelsea played something like 70 games this season, Bayern similar, Real Madrid probably even more.

Fitness isn't just about how much you run in a single game, but how well you recovered from all the games before.

So? You can see in a single game how tired a player should be from a 60 game season?

When Froome or Contador climb with too many VAM or Watts/kg, we know something.

When we see one team beat another, it says **** about their RBC or T/E levels.

Robben was injured for most of his career. Does that mean he didn't dope for all his career but started since 2 years ago?
What about R9. They say he tore both his ACLs because they put him on too much steroids at PSV so his muscles would get so strong so fast, the ligament tissue couldn't keep up.
So do steroids increase or decrease risk of injury? You tell me.
