Lotto completely dominated that from 2-3 laps out, well done to them.

Van Hoff will be pleased to be ahead of Cantwell. :D

Yeah, very strong indeed. And when Greipel has a good position at the finish, no one in this field can beat him. I'm counting on 3 stage wins next week.

Sky worked for Hagen today? Don't expect that

If he can get 2nd on a flat stage ( although very short ), then I see him as my big favourite for the overall TdU imo.

Mainly because of his team though. He wasn't that fast himself.

Nope, but he held on to his speed for long though. Rojas and Haussler were going to pass EBH, but all of the sudden they stopped passing him.
Oh well it's just 1 sprint after 50km, doesn't tell us that much.

Sky going for EBH makes sense since he can win the TDU.

His team dropped him in to the wind at 450m, made him chase on to a wheel and then he tried to jump 300m out.

So it's not surprising he didn't look stunning against a rested decent sprinter just kicking from 200m.

Interesting to see how it will play out - interview with Dowsett on Sky website says they're committing to Mick for the GC.

I wonder if they are really that stupid? Isn't there anyone on the team smart enough to say "Hey... Where is Rogers going to win the TdU?"
And then they will al be like "uhhhhhhhhhhhh I dunno..." or " In the TT ofcourse"

I think the reality will be EBH for the sprints and then Rogers has a free role on Willunga with EBH trying to hang on as much as possible. It's not stupidity, it's a smokescreen.

Have you ever watched the TDU? Basically anyone who can climb and has some form is in with a chance for the Willunga stage.
