Who remembers Androni having 5 in an attack group of 8 and not getting 1st or 2nd? Can't remember which race that was. Also though I think it was back in 2010, Cofidis put 3 in an attack of 5 in the Tour of Turkey at the end of one stage and ended with 3rd, 4th and 5th. But if we're going with 2010, Sky at Qatar sitting up and letting Mol and Steurs go about 20 minutes up the road, followed in Oman by stopping to go for a leak with 40km to go in an echelon stage were pretty special. Movistar on stage 9 of the Tour this year was pretty horrific - only stage of the Tour I watched, but boy was it bad. Asleep at the wheel for sure. Golden opportunity wasted completely.
Was it 2009 where Rabo put about three people in the break in Omloop then put the rest of the team on the front to chase it back? Also LPR Brakes in the 2009 Giro on every stage in the final week leading the péloton, chasing breaks even on flat stages, despite Menchov only having a depleted Rabo team to help him.
Oh, and the Schlecks in Liège-Bastogne-Liège 2011. I mean, sure Gilbert was likely to win anyway, but at least TRY to do something!
